are you indonesian?
neway... do you guys see lots of africans/blacks students around campus?
*
Not being racist, the African students population has decreased substantially after the Botswana officer in charge of education scholarship was jailed for corruption last year.

The 2000+ Botswana students (the one and only batch) are now sparsely distributed between Sunway University and Monash University.

Lim Kok Wing took up whole chunk of 2K+ students when the latter came to Malaysia for education.

As an international university, Monash University always strives to balance our students' population equally, having exchange students from Monash South Africa and other partner universities.

No worries, as far as the admin is concerned, our African students population is well behaved if this is what you are concerned with. smile.gif

If they settle the auto allocate matter late and we probably have to start our class late...I worry we might have to struggle later to catch up with  the lessons we have left out sad.gif
*
No worries about missing the class. Just attend the lectures as it is. For tutorial, you just need attend any of it and inform the tutor of the situation. They are more than willing to accommodate for first few weeks.

There is another thing i wanna ask. When i paid for my tuition fees, i says RM16500. Meaning 4 subjects right? But what if i paid for 4 subjects but i only took 3? will the one subject in the next sem tuition fees be deducted?

Anybody knows what buildings are monash building? the constructions seem never ending :/
*
The Phase II development of Monash University Sunway campus is now in full swing. After the completion of School of Business extension, the current on-going construction would be meant for School of Pharmacy-cum-Science (Building 4) and extension for School of Engineering at the previous basketball court.

Last construction will be Building 1, next to Building 2's empty field. And Building 8, next to current Building 6. Building 1 is slated to be Administration Building, 11 floors in total with all glasses exterior. Building 8 will be have two floors of MUSA offices and student working area and three floors of car parking. As of current the empty field is hoarded off to construct two basketball-cum-futsal-cum volleyball court. One indoor, one outdoor.

Sunway Monash Residence (SMR) is located on campus. Sun-U Residences is located at Sunway University, a short 10-mins walk from Monash University.

SMR has microwave oven and water dispenser to be shared among the residents in the unit. All rooms are equipped with super single sized bed, study table, book shelf, wardrobe, tv and personal mini fridge.

Sun-U Residence has shared fridge, but no tv and other amenities.

Small increment, minuscule bonus ,overworked......I don't find it surprising. Some admin staff hold multiple portfolio and when one goes on leave, the whole world will stop. No one knows what is happening unless they staff is back from leave. Some departments are seriously understaffed...

School of Business is also facing high staff turnover......dun be deceived by the advertisement they put out every time in newspapers.....they are not expanding...they are massively shrinking....

hi guys,
how do i fill in the credit application form? do I just list out all the subjects that i think is 'related' with the course or what, since I'm applying for bachelor of business & commerce with a diploma in hospitality management?

thanks.
*
Firstly, you need to fill in your details in the top part of the form, then the name of the courses you want to do in Monash University. Right after, fill in the diploma that you have completed.

Next: Fill in the unit code, then the unit name, the year you completed the unit.

Sign off at the back under the Student's Declaration part. Then you're done.

Hope this helps.

You may request for Finance Dept for refund.

Transfer wise is pretty easy. As long as you meet the minimum requirement for transfer, it should be a problem.

No, it does not overwrite your previous result. It will be calculated together with your new result in the final CGPA.

Hi, helping a friend ask some questions.

She applied for the next MBBS Medicine intake in Monash Malaysia which is in Feb.

Just now, the university sent an e-mail rejecting her saying she does not fulfill academic requirements (TER 97).

But before the the rejection which is few days back, Monash called her and told her there was an issue with her

South Australian Matriculation (SAM) cert because she finished it in 2009, (FYI, she was working until 2011)

the counsellor told her that it has something to do with the duration which is already more than 2 years. But she did

try to apply earlier this year 2012 but the counsellor told her that the deadline was over so she should apply for the

2013 one, which she did recently. She even confirmed with the counsellor if the certificate will still be valid and the

counsellor told her there's no problem.
She's currently at loss at what to do considering the counsellor told her there wasn't a problem earlier this year but

suddenly there is. She's considering an appeal since she is quite adamant in getting into the course. The IMU

overseas programme is too expensive, so she's only left with this option to get a reputable med degree. She tried

to call them just now but staffs already went back so she can only go on Monday.
What can be done to assist her in doing so? Thanks.
*
There seems to be some misinterpretation. Not sure what happened. You may drop Mr. Julius Wong an email at julius.wong@monash.edu. He is well versed with MBBS course Monash Sunway. I think he is on leave now till mid Nov, but you may try your luck.

Bringing this question up again. Is it true that Australians are not allowed to be enrolled in Monash Sunway?
*
Yes, Australian can enrolled in Monash University Sunway campus starting from next year onwards, however they are not allowed to enroll in MBBS or Pharmacy course mainly due to internship issue that may arise later.

Similarly, they are not allowed to take CSP rights while studying in Sunway campus. Hope this helps.
QUOTE(VanYJS @ Oct 2 2012, 11:49 PM)
Oh okay I'll try. Btw do you have friends who have met this kinda case before? Does appeal work? I'm just kinda worry because I really hope to get into Monash  sad.gif
*
For UEC students, IELTS is a must and there is no way around this English requirement rule. Unless you obtain overall band of 5.5 with each band not less than 5.0, they will offer your English Language course, with conditional offer for your course that you would to enrol. This English course does not apply for MBBS and Pharmacy.

Hope this helps.

You might want to consider Monash University Business program as it is one of the strongest courses available at Monash. Their Accounting & Banking is ranked 18th in the world and Economics is 23 I think.
