It depends largely on what you want at the end of the day nod.gif
The XPS 15 has better speakers, and screen (after upgrade); larger 9-cell battery (after upgrade); and Dell's superb warranty support (after extension) laugh.gif
If you're going for the XPS 15, the FullHD screen upgrade and warranty extension would be the most important upgrades
As mentioned by Ivan, if you prefer to use OSX, then go for the MBP nod.gif

But all the Sony doesn't offer a quadcore option. There will be a refresh as far as I know in October that brings FHD screen. Hopefully it benefits the SB series as well and offers quadcore.
EDIT: Current motivation in getting a VAIO is due to its design.

SB series won't get Quad Core, the dual core inside is already quite hot, and fan noise is quite loud..
The one you referring is SE series.

I think I will just wait and let my Fujitsu to really break down completely (had problem with Vista but once I got into 7, everything works as charm back). Hopefully the Samsung Series 7 comes out earlier than that - will be interested to see the real product of Samsung, looks promising and has the matte screen I want! (One of the reason of holding back on XPS is the glossy screen!)

Hey guys,how y'all doin?

I'm planning on getting a new lappy.

Here's my requirement.
1. Processors-i'm cool with intel i5/i7-warned by friend to not get a AMD processor(ventilation problem)
2. Looks good ,thats it(most of the laptop on market do right? tongue.gif)
3. A resolution better than 1366x768
4. Warranty~I don't really emphasize on this part but as long the lappy is problem/glitches -free ,I'm happy
5. Budget~Rm3K
6.~BRANDS~Whichever which fits the bill(lenovo or asus is my preference--heard this 2 brands are meant for hard duty/long lasting usage/problem free.)
I'm a college student.Most of the usage will fall for typical stuff(movies,downloading,game)not a hardcore gamer,games that i play(FIFA,C.O.D,). i download,watch movie A-LOT.thats it.
7.USB 3.0,HDMI features would also be welcomed with huge smile  biggrin.gif

thanks for y'all's time taken to suggest
