I'll suggest to stick with Gigabyte motherboard, go with the one which has realtek audio and not VIA. Less headache.. with ASUS locked BIOS, you need to edit and do some modification to your BIOS. Best, before you go and buy, drop a message here with your specs and someone will suggest if it is hackintoshable.

Remember, the main ingredients to a successful hackintosh:

1. motherboard
2. processor
3. graphics card

Hi Guys,

I have problem with audio.

After i install the audio driver and hard reboot everything went smooth. Sound does not have static sound.

But after i restart (manual restart) the static comes back.

Is there anything i can do?

Or Hackintosh cannot be restart?

Without knowing what your specs are, we can only guess. Please post the specs and whatever kexts that you've just installed. BTW, is this static coming out once a while or continuous? It sounds like your soundcard was put to sleep and wakes up with a pop sound. Do search tonymacx86 forum, someone with the same problem as yours might have the problem fixed.

My Spec
Asus P7P55D (Bios v.1807)
i5-750
GTX 260
Kingston value ram 2gb x3
WD 640HDD(Green)

Its continuous cracking sound.

This is the guide that i follow from tonymacx86:
http://www.tonymacx86.com/mountain-lion-de...html#post491422

At step 13, right after i install VoodooHDA 0.2.7.3 it ask to hard reboot (restart button) everything works well.

But after i restart manually (apple logo > restart) the continuous cracking sound comes back.

The Kext file that i found in the Extensions Folder with the color label are
AppleHDADisabler.kext
AppleHDADisabler.kext.bak
VoodooHDA.kext
VoodooHHA.kext.bak

Fuyo. 11K Geekbench score. Very good rig. I just stall Thermaltake Water 2.0 Pro on my Hackintosh Rig.
Need to set CPU fan control as Voltage to able to tune down the RPM to 1200. If set to Auto or PWM, will spin up to 1450rpm and noise because noticeable.

Idle 43C and more quiet compare to 52C on stock Intel i7 CPU fan.

Got myself a i5 3570k + Gigabyte Z77M-D3H.

Fuhhh took me a few hours to figure out how to boot ML with full QE/CI.

Latest chameleon with fakesmc and atheros ethernet fix kext only.

i5 SSDT and mac mini SMBIOS taken from multi beast.

HD4000 works with device-properties injection in boot.plist.

Ok Calling all Hackintosh Sifus,

In the process of me getting all the compatible hardware for my next hackintosh project which i'm terribly lazy to do, i came across a company in ebay who are selling the hardwares 100% confirmed as a clone mac pro.

And the best thing is they will install ML and make everything works and ship the whole working hackintosh "Mac Pro" desktop to you. What you have to do is just pay the shipping from UK around RM200. You can also customize your specs or choose any of the series they already config.

You just need to pay 0.99 pound (RM4.83) if you customize and choose what you want.

What you guys think. i might opt for this if you guys approved.

Customization (please compare prices that you can buy here in malaysia)

Why paying RM200 extra when you can do it yourself? I believe someone is doing the same service locally too, just check the FB link posted in the first post.

Lol lazy la bang. Took me hours today to search for Mobo, HDD, RAM GPU etc. and that just search online not yet go to the shop and physically buy them (provided if they are available)

What about the time to install and comeback to forum waiting for reply if something screwed up i.e wrong kext. kp, audio not working, network not working.... all these will consume so much time.

Been there done that... lol now after i bought MBA lazy to even touch my dual core SL desktop and start from scratch to build i7 hackintosh.
