Hackintosh on AMD can be done by patching the kernel, I've no idea if there is a support for your hardware. For me, not worth a try.

Should be fine, it will be mounted as read only file system and if you wish, you can hide all non Mac partitions too.

Shouldn't be a problem, download the patched BIOS from http://bios4asus.blogspot.com/. Do search on DSDT for your motherboard.

Opss, you might have problem with your graphics card though.

If you run Hackintosh as main OS. I would suggest U allocate a HDD/Partition for Full clone of your working OSX.
Alway clone to this Backup BEFORE you try install any update or fiddle with any KEXT.

Else, U will lost all your data and had to spend more time to redo again.

Any of you guys get slower boot times with 10.8.2, rollback IOAHCIFamily.kext & AppleAHCIPort.kext doesn't work either.

Boot times from 10.8.1 went from 5 secs to 12 secs in 10.8.2

Cheers!

Any recommended bluetooth adaptors then can work out of the box and can be purchased locally? Seems like the only option is to order online..haha

Hi, hackintosh noob here. I'd like to ask for help from all sifus here. Here goes:

My specs:
Gigabyte H61MA-D2V
i5-3450
Apacer 8GB 1333Mhz
Seagate Barracuda 160GB
EVGA GTS 250

Installed ML using Unibeast (USB thumbdrive). *Had to use PCIRootUID=0 command at Unibeast boot screen, else the screen goes blank, installation won't continue.
Upon 1st boot into ML, Ethernet, graphics, processor, RAM all recognized, working well. Only thing missing is sound which is corrected by installing the ACL887 (without DSDT) in Multibeast.
The problem is when i rebooted the computer, it gets stuck at the screen "missing boot record" after self test.
I can only boot back into the working ML via Unibeast.
If i install Easybeast / UserDSDT or DSDT-free installation in Multibeast, it then reboots fine but it knocks out my audio and ethernet.

Any ideas?
Is chimera / chameleon installation necessary?

Thanks

I am now dualbooting ML and Windows 7 in a single HDD.
Windows 7 was installed 1st, working well. Proceeded with ML installation via Unibeast (as above post), working well.

Upon installing Chimera/Chameleon, it brought me to the screen prompting me to choose OSX /Windows. Booting into Windows is fine. Booting into OSX gets me stuck at a white screen with Apple logo. Ran unibeast again with -v, stuck at
ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin: :registerLPCDriver - failed to locate SMC driver.

Pls point me to the exact kext to install. This is the umphteenth time i installed ML...
Thanks

I used the fakeSMC r615 from osx86.net but was stuck at the same place as before.
Yet to try Multibeast 5.1.1. I went for the fakeSMC from osx86.net because i can't install only fakeSMC using Multibeast. It is "packaged" together with other kexts in Easybeast and UserDSDT/DSDT Free Installation, which after installation will knock out my audio and ethernet.

Any ideas on how to install only fakeSMC from Multibeast 5.1.1? Is the fakeSMC in Multibeast same as the one offered in osx86.net?

Thanks
