During the boot up, I believe clover will come up with what partition you want to boot from, use arrow key to select (by default it should select the macosx install), then press a space bar and there is option to boot in verbose mode.

If you're stuck in Apple logo, do check your BIOS configuration and your graphics card. You may want to use the internal gpu first for installation.

I'm not sure why.. but there's 2 hd icon there .. one for ntfs and one for sierra...

The verbose option will let you know where it got stuck and you'll be able to fix it. What hardware do you have? Please share it here and someone might be able to help you out. BTW, do share what you've done so far, and what kind of installation you're using (tonymacx86 or others).

The spec is in my signature. The i5 spec. I'm trying to use built in gpu instead of putting a gc.

I'm using tonymacx86

1. using VM of macOS X to download new sierra os
2. create a guid partition thingy in usb
3. use latest unibeast to create the installer with clover
4. put in multibeast folder into the thumb drive

5. use uefi boot to detect thumb drive
6. begin installation..
7. enable verbose
8. half way hang.

Half way booting or installing? Any images with the last message you got on the screen when you do the verbose mode? Does it show where/what it stuck at?

Recently updated my rig to macOS Sierra. Been proudly using ML for like 5 years. Never use bluetooth with my hackintosh before.

What bluetooth dongle you suggest? The one that I can easily find in Malaysia or even better if it's available in Aliexpress. biggrin.gif

I've never tried (and probably doesn't need) to use bluetooth. So, really I've no idea what to suggest. My current rig has bluetooth built-into the motherboard. Had it working before but I need to reboot into Windows to load the driver and then warm boot to OSX. Since I don't have any bluetooth devices, I didn't go further than trying it for few times smile.gif

There is an existing thread in tonymacx86 which you can follow. As with other notebooks, you'll probably need a usb dongle for wifi.

This is what is I grep from syslog failure
QUOTE
Drivers Failure during wake due to PEG0():

Also grep the "Wake reason" from syslog as well
QUOTE
localhost kernel[0]: (AppleACPIPlatform) Wake reason: XDCI XHC
localhost kernel[0]: (AppleTopCaseHIDEventDriver) [HID] [ATC] AppleDeviceManagementHIDEventService::processWakeReason Wake reason: Host (0x01)
Any hackintosh expert can help me to solve this problem?

Check your BIOS setup, HPET setting if they're as recommended for your board. Best if you share your setup here. Some graphics card can cause problem too, so installing with a basic inbuilt graphics card might be helpful.

My suggestion, take out the GTX980 first. Try the installation using the integrated graphics card and see.

And do the BIOS setting as per tonymacx86 guide:

STEP 3: Recommended BIOS Settings
If you're installing on a recommended CustoMac desktop with AMI UEFI BIOS, the options are simple. For other systems make sure to set your BIOS to Optimized Defaults, and your hard drive to AHCI mode. Here are standard AMI UEFI BIOS settings for Gigabyte AMI UEFI BIOS, Gigabyte AWARD BIOS, ASUS AMI UEFI BIOS, and MSI AMI UEFI BIOS.

1. To access BIOS/UEFI Setup, press and hold Delete on a USB Keyboard while the system is booting up
2. Load Optimized Defaults
3. If your CPU supports VT-d, disable it
4. If your system has CFG-Lock, disable it
5. If your system has Secure Boot Mode, disable it
6. Set OS Type to Other OS
7. If your system has IO SerialPort, disable it
8. Set XHCI Handoff to Enabled
9. If you have a 6 series or x58 system with AWARD BIOS, disable USB 3.0
10. Save and exit.
