Not me. Asrock.
Asus also works.

you're right.
but giga and tonymac seems to be the most painless way for newbies.
suspect they in kahootz hmm.gif

Nothing much going on with Hackintosh world nowdays eh? This thread was buried to few pages in the forum smile.gif I haven't done much on my setup either, and for those interested, you're not limited to Gigabyte motherboards only, but before starting to build your Hackintosh, do check if your motherboard is supported. I'm using ASUS and have been happy running it for two years now, updated to the latest OSX without any problem. Latest addition to my setup is for the wireless card TPLINK WND48000 which works out of box.
*
haha...my mac pro project kinda hung since then too.
got the mobo+proc+hdd+psu+ram, tested the rig and it worked, but kinda got lazy to do the casing and sold the parts laugh.gif doh.gif doh.gif

You're welcome to try TonyMac. Just don't treat it like a religion. There are many OS X distros out there that make life easier. Just try them all out and pick the one that fits you.
*
i know what you mean by some people following tonymac like a cult laugh.gif
i actually follow cpukid's way as it was step-by-step with youtube video's laugh.gif

QUOTE(bluehaven @ Aug 2 2013, 03:22 AM)
yes you are correct. gigabyte is in fact their supplier. what interest me is the out-of-the-box experience..which reduces the hardware mismatch when you install osx. been putting off to build up a hackintosh due to this very reason..something easy like plug n play..it just works.. biggrin.gif
*
yeah i know sometimes after you do a few hours of research on the hardware and software needed for the build, you just go.....

Nice, imac was my first real Mac I had, mine was the original bondi blue. Are you going to replace the CRT tube with TFT instead? Not much space if you're trying to use the tube.

yeah, would be ashame to have lion on an uncrisp crt display laugh.gif
it looks straight forward when i see this schematic but you all know its going to be b*tch when you actually do it laugh.gif

the guide

QUOTE(babyk @ Dec 7 2014, 08:09 PM)
The cost depends on your budget, lowest around RM1300

With the Apple WiFi and Bluetooth, you can connect Apple Keyboard and Trackpad without issues, and WiFi works as normal as well.

Reliability? It should be good coz I'm running 24/7 for torrent and it is as good as Mac Mini laugh.gif

My specs are as below:
Intel Core i3 1.7GHz Haswell
32GB mSATA
1TB Seagate SSHD
16GB 1600MHz DDR3 RAM
Apple WiFi and Bluetooth
HDMI to my Home Theater set

At the moment no. Still relying on the TurboBoost at 4.4Mhz. Though, been spending alot of time in the Windows OS to play Shadow of Mordor and Dragon Age Inquisition. tongue.gif Used MSI afterburner to kick the GPU up a notch or two.
*
i wondering if any oc of ram/cpu done at bios level will make the hack unstable or not.

he must be a veteran modder, wiring up the display is difficult.
i tried to do it for imac g1 couldn't get it to work, someone recommended me to replace the crt with notebook lcd, yet to try.

iMac G1? You kidding me? laugh.gif
I do not have any vintage Macs at the moment so I cannot attempt the mod. wiring the display is super hard and I think even with a schematics there's still a lot to do.

so what am i suppose to call this?
