When did you get this, after installation? What options did you choose in multibeast? Have you tried using nullcpupower in multibeast?

Check the second hand graphics card in garage sales. The cheapest that work for me is the Gigabyte GTS430.

I'm using the same board but not graphics card. USB3 will not work, no driver for it. Bluetooth, it should work after you load the firmware, need to do this everytime you start your desktop, so a loader is needed. Search google for p8p67 bluetooth hackintosh and you'll find drcrack posting in tonymacx86 forum.

GPU powermanagment I guess should be nvidia problem not the mobo. And I've never tried 5.1 since I don't have the speakers.

DSDT? None that I've found that work..

LAN, I've the same problem with Lion. When I disconnect myself from network, I couldn't get an IP address afterward. It was working well on SL.

acer aspire s3 can it been port to hackintosh? need suggestion from all pro here

How much is it compared to MBA? If it is almost the same price, go for MBA instead of S3. Looking at the specs, you could run Lion on it BUT .. a big BUT .. you may have problem finding drivers for WiFI, sound and bluetooth.

It is best to play around with a fresh system.. If you've spare HD, do the necessary test on that spare HD. Surely not fun when you loose data that has been accumulated for years...

yup its on page 19....but he not mentioned which config though..
btw did you manage to up the usb 3.0 port yet?
here my screenshoot of my system

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

notice the usb super-speed bus...seems the usb 3.0 is working and yet
the speed can be notice compare to 2.0 port.
also from the screenshoot...I cannot complete the xbench bench..it indicates
that still running but after wait almost half an hour still nothing happen...just few
scores are appear only...any idea?

edit - found that stuck during Thread Test...if test individually(others bench)
can complete...any idea?
*
I haven't really pursue anything on USB3 since I don't have any peripherals that require USB3.

On xbench issue, I'm facing the same thing too. If I select everything, it will stuck.. but if I do a test individually it is okay.

On RAID0, from my reading based on insanelymac and tonymacx86 forums, I believe motherboard RAID0 is not supported, you need to do a software RAID0 but I've no idea if this can be achievable on bootable drive.

BTW, just wondering if you've got the sleep working correctly.. Mine will go into sleep cycle, sleep, wake up, sleep and wake up cycle until I awake it using my keyboard. No idea what wrong, btw, I'm on the latest BIOS.

Are you running at 4.2GHz all the time? Mine can be overclocked up to 4.7GHz (i7/2600K) but I'm using speedstepper. For now, this accomplished by patching the firmware. Was using the speedstepper but tried not taint any standard extension.

noob alert !! can i direct install lion os or i need to install SL 1st b4 i can update to lion?
*
If you've a prepared installer, you don't need SL to install Lion. Only reason for the SL is to buy the Lion upgrade since it doesn't come in DVD.

I believe it is the network card, but looking at the kernel/system log, the wake up reason comes as question mark. Grr.. I had it working on SL before.

using sleepenable.kext is no confirm the pc can get sleep work well...it all depend on wat mobo and other hardware like GC , LAN card sometime usb device also will hv this problem...so  DSDT patch/edit  is needed..
i edit /mod dsdt myseft...now without using any sleepenable.kext
*
Nope, not using any sleepenabler nor dsdt.. None of patched dsdts work for our motherboard.. It works okay on SL before but after upgraded to latest 10.7.2, it will just go into loop.. Sleep, wakeup (only hear the fan spins), back to sleep and going into this cycle.

Couldn't test on Win7 since am running Win7 inside vmware.

yup...me to worked on SL <10.6.7...

yup...maybe also the network card....
btw in mac does it have something similar
on window which 'device manager'?
found that on other forum saying that
on the network adapter properties have
tab names 'power management' that can
select "allow this device to wakeup the
computer"....and untick that solve
the sleep problem...just in that case it is
on window oS...(will try on my window7
when back home today)...
but I still doubt applicable on mac system.... hmm.gif

I

Couldn't find this option for Lion, probably need to work on DSDT but nobody got working DSDT yet..

Hackintosh is not fun. I tried installing OSX on my Alienware m15, it wasn't fun at all preferred my MBP much much more better. Apparently Apple got a court order against Hackintosh in the United States. Installing and using Hackintosh is illegal in the United States.
*
Source please .. or you're talking non-sense here. Apple has court order against Psystar but not individuals. The company is making money by selling clones while for us, hobbyists are not. We do it for fun. If you think it isn't fun, that is all your opinion not many of us here.

And I believe your are not either and .. your arguments above sound the same as what you wrote. If Apple can leave us alone, so can you.

Ignore him, he just joined yesterday and posted more than 90 posts in a day .. and all had a link to his for-sale/discount software thread (he had removed this after few of his posts were removed by mods). What he was trying to do is to beef up his posts count so that he could build up his reputation and be a trusted seller.
