yeah, maybe after warranty finish dulu and after i get another phone la, then i'll root and play around with the custom ROM. Now only have 1 phone. anything goes wrong with it, it'll be very troublesome for me

Which is also 2.3 u will gonna have to wait for ICS.... no ETA yet

well, that's a big big "hopefully"... anyway, i browse thru the forum for HTC incredible S, sensation and xperia s. notice that many users having problem with their phone after upgrading to ICS. ring tone, bluetooth, wifi, whatsapp, twitter, touchscreen,... again, "hopefully" this will not happen to DS...

I have just flashed the ICS 4.0.4 with sense 3.6... its a little laggy on main screen but other than that its great... everything works.... If you can't wait, maybe u should just try some custom ROM...

Very sad, cant watch movie from this phone..
Either 450p or 720p using mx player..

this phone is just a entry level compared to those oneX and S3

btw, any idea how to change the home menu buttom button into ICS-like beside using go launcher?

I just got myself Sunglobla batteries for my Desire S. My question are

1. How to do the first charge? 8 hours or until the light turn green?
2. To maintain the battery lifespan, frequent small charges (like at 40% recharge or below 10% only recharge?)

Sunglobal is a Lithium polymer battery.

5-6 hour will do. let it until 5% or less b4 1st charge. afterthat, best charge at 30% or more

anyone still reading this thread? anyway I have a big big problem...I'm still s-on and while trying to flash RUU to downgrade HBOOT i get stuck at rebooting bootloader and now the phone cant start at all. All i see is just HTC logo and white background.

I didnt s-on the phone, any fix to this? been reading xda whole day and seems like no one has solution or i missed out =/

Just got the news that HTC going to release a new phone called HTC Desire X. From the spec and design, looks like a direct replacement of our Desire S.

With the replacement model, i think HTC may just stop supporting the desire S and thus no official ICS update

guys desire s will have ICS update.Found some information on XDA, HTC just removed the link RUU update on htc dev. You may find the external download link on XDA.
