QUOTE(Muneeb @ Dec 30 2011, 03:19 PM) Today i was using my HTC Desire S just 2 months used, when it suddenly hung up and got non-responsive. So i took out the battery to restart it, but since then it has not turned on. I tried reading to search on Google with other users with similar problems, and i found that they had to get it repaired or something, but my phone is not under warranty since i bought it from UK. I have already tried to reset it by holding the volume key and pressing power button but it is non-responsive. It might be related to software since the last thing i did was to download an app from the android market, but it might be something else also, since its not turning on at all. What is the best solution to get it working again. Where can i take it to get it repaired? That last time, did u download multiple apps in one time? If that so, your motherboard might be toasted. This is just my opinion after google it. Perhaps, i'm wrong. But after update to sense 3.0. There's no longer multiple download. It will download one by one. It looks like HTC realized it, and corrected it. So, this might supports my opinion. edited: I'm not sure whether it is related to gb 2.3.5 or sense 3.0 This post has been edited by symbiote: Dec 31 2011, 11:08 AM

QUOTE(Muneeb @ Dec 30 2011, 11:23 PM) @symbiote yes i did download multiple apps, the last time i used it. so what is the solution, can it be repaired or should i just through RM1300 worth cell phone in the garbage. please advise where it can be taken to be repaired, bearing in mind that i do not have warranty. I guess my opinion/theory proved. Sorry to hear that. That's a very bad luck. About the solution. Erm, hard to say since u don't have warranty. It depends. If u want to repair motherboard, it gonna cost around rm750 if i'm not mistaken. Where? I do not know myself. The only place i know is Sis distribution centre, but that for under warranty devices. Consideration to buy a new phone perhaps not too bad . Again, it's all up to you. I just hope no one come across this unfortunate event again in the future. QUOTE(squarepilot @ Dec 31 2011, 01:58 AM) GG last time the 10cent apps promotion i dl multiple apps per time maybe 4 per time. but now no sign of flaw now It didn't instantaneously happen. Same with my case. Since I know multiple downloading might burnt the motherboard, I did a little experiment and tried so hard to make it happen since i still under warranty. But it doesn't . And recently after update, no longer multiple download is available. So my experiment can't be done. Unless I root and use custom rom which i'm too lazy to do

QUOTE(Atsutane-Shirane @ Dec 31 2011, 03:56 PM) It not because of HTC... with latest market update the download is done one by one... and before the new OTA come out all DS user use old market unless u update the market manually.. (which i did...) Thx man. Yeah, i guess u're right. It's the market update. How could I miss that. Added on December 31, 2011, 8:07 pmQUOTE(Muneeb @ Dec 31 2011, 04:34 PM) did you find out what the problem was, was it a big issue like a fried motherboard? motherboard=mobo for short. He(rayzel) is talking about fried motherboard This post has been edited by symbiote: Dec 31 2011, 08:10 PM

Hello! Not sure whether this thread is still active or not but I need opinions. I am planning on buying a new battery as backup. So, i thought why not i buy an extended battery thus improves battery life, and use the original one as backup since i had spare rm200. The hard part is which battery should I go for? http://www.mugen-power-batteries.com/htc/h...re-s-s510e.html or http://sunglobal.com.my/enlarge.asp?id=93. Mugen-power is very reliable and there is a review by customer regarding longer battery life, but it's a bit on the expensive side. Meanwhile, sunglobal battery is much more cheaper plus an extra 50 mah, but i just couldn't find a very convincing review regarding improved battery life. Sigh....

QUOTE(LawrencePoppy @ May 5 2012, 05:00 PM) This phone is great, wonder why so little people have it in Malaysia.... =.=" I guess because htc brand is not heavily market or advertised in Malaysia. Only just recently with the One series. So devices before that like desire s not having many users. Added on May 8, 2012, 6:54 amAnyone using Primo S ported One V rom? QUOTE(kk6513 @ May 8 2012, 07:20 PM) i try b4,but now switch back to endymion rom.primo s is fast and smooth, but camera not function. I tried it too to see how is sense 4. Since it is ported, it's very close to the real deal. Sense 4 is much more smooth and fast compared to the previous sense. Good work htc! But i really want to try the full sense 4, not the light one.
