QUOTE(howszat @ Jan 1 2012, 11:29 PM) I managed to increase core speed to 226Mhz, with the following: Latest update:- 533, it failed on post - 400, posted but Windows7 blue-screened - 400, increased core voltage to 1.4, booted fine, but benchmarked on SuperPI slower. Thanks for your help, any other ideas you have just let me now. Core speed - 230MHz (x11) DDR2 - fixed at 667 (anything lower will produce worse benchmark results or same as no OC) Voltage - 1.425V PCI - Fixed at 100 (if I left it AUTO it will not post unless I reduce DDR speed - with this I can leave DDR speed unchanged) With this, Super-PI shows further improvements. Am I near the limit, or can I push further? |

QUOTE(howszat @ Jan 3 2012, 11:39 PM) Latest update: push htt bit by bit, increase vcore and/or vdimm should system goes unstable. iirc ddr2 can take up to 2.x (below 2.2v for 24/7), vcore wise am fine with 1.45v & below. Can you clarify what you mean by HTT? Same as Bus Speed on CPU-Z? (sorry I kept mis- calling it core speed |

QUOTE(saturn85 @ Jan 4 2012, 12:23 AM) I did try ddr 533. With lower ddr, I can increase bus speed --but-- my benchmarks ran slower!I don't have any other multipliers - just got two: - cpu clock ratio 5 - 11x - K8<->SB HT Speed 1 - 5x have not played with the second yet - is it the same thing you are talking about? |

K8<->SB HT Speed 1 - 5x, set to 4x. see whether can push further or not. |

Pls do not press this if your antibody is low i can safely save this kit (ddr3 1866 cl9) can at least match winova while havin nicer look... btw, manual oc ftw... QUOTE(ah_khoo @ Jan 5 2012, 10:36 PM) if new bios not workin well, downgrade to d old one bro. Flashed with the old one does not seems to help lol, duno what the f is going on with my harddisk or mobo need some poison on 8gb kit? there's a new kit on d block... Pls do not press this if your antibody is low i can safely save this kit (ddr3 1866 cl9) can at least match winova while havin nicer look... btw, manual oc ftw... The boot menu does not even show up unless let my mobo detect the windows 7 dvd then it will switch to the real boot menu. Tried with bootrec fix but no go the last trick would be re install windows Is it the Black one? damn chio but the heat spreader seems too tall i have 2x 25x120mm fan on the RAM slots above Second question, Is it safe to revert the CPU LLC ect to normal settings? Those setting automatically rammed up to "extreme", and the voltage seems goes up 2 notch if cpu underload. Pretty sure my cpu could run 3.7GHz at 1.325v when using ud7. |
