The boot menu does not even show up unless let my mobo detect the windows 7 dvd then it will switch to the real boot menu.

Is it safe to revert the CPU LLC ect to normal settings?
Those setting automatically rammed up to "extreme", and the voltage seems goes up 2 notch if cpu underload.
Pretty sure my cpu could run 3.7GHz at 1.325v when using ud7.

cant remember much llc settin on 99x evo but i didn't set too high back then. cpu-nb always a notch or 2 lower than cpu iirc. 

All stock also same, no boot menu unless use teh windows 7 dvd to "bypass" the problem LOL

So I can take out my Athlon 64 x2, and drop in a, say Phenom II x2?

All the rev 1.0, 1.1, 2.0 show the CPU i'm interested in is supported. That's good because I don't know what rev my board is. CPU-Z shows x.x only for some reason.

bro, i know this mite sound stupid, to me there are only 2 way to screw up d booting:

1. achi/ide mode of hdd
2. changes made on MBR

i have yet to try d elite so i can't really comment much bro, but it defo looks better & comes with temp monitorin. for a $16 diff, i'd gladly pay for better heatspreader & temp monitorin feature IF it clocks d same way as d tactical series. 

yeah, good air coolers always have such problem, that was one of d reason why i my neighbour goes wc. if ur on thuban/fx4, u don't really need to splurge big amount of moolah, a h100 will surely get d job done. u get neater look & less maintenance work. 

yup, playin with digi vrm can yield stability/better mileage, i'll share mine when i reach home tonite. 

as for htt oc, i think d board is capable at least 300HTT, u just need d correct ram multi which will play nice with d oc'ed setup. 

Im using RAID0 when i was on Asus 790fx mobo, it still working after changed from 790fx > 890FX > 990X, AMD didnt made drastic change to the SB it seems
the RAID0 was my main boot drive and i didnt touch the MBR or similar things, until i updated the 990x mobo BIOS,
cant use achi or ide for sure cause the drive will be unrecognized by os, i have 2 RAID0 arrays, 2x 320gb, and 2x 2TB
All my HDD is still working fine, just booting does not work for unknown reason.
Not yet messing with the BIOS setting, my pc is working fine as long as i leave the windows 7 dvd on my optical drive :/sweat:

if not i will just go for the yellow one, or may be i will search some reviews for the Elite version.
not sure if wanna buy the h100, my vx still working fine lol, can just dont put fan on the "push" side, one fan for pulling out the hot air prolly is enough.

My digi vrm was auto configured by mobo, probably will leave it untouched cause afraid later my oc will screw up lol.
not sure if the digi vrm setting are too "extreme", but after i enabled aggressive EPU settings, the vcore dropped a bit yet it still very stable under load, now @ HTT 268 :/thumbs:
probably still can up a few notch before i need to bump the vcore.
tried to do 300htt but my ram does not seem to like 5.33x divider or lower one  :/x

if seller willin to lemme try i'll definitely get my hands on d elite. so far no available stock on hand but according to him, d elites are comin in next shipment which is in few weeks time. so far i cant find any detailed oc on elite, d one provided is 1866@9-11-9 which doesn't look so well to me. newer batch is rated 1866@9-9-9 so it should be better. what i like is d heatsink + temp monitorin feature, but if doesn't clock d same way as tactical, d choice is obvious. yellow not too bad on my biostar 790gx a3+ mobo neway... 

i dun enable epu so most of d time i just run d chip & ram once i found d sweet spot for 24/7. for sure there'll be vdroop but to me there're negligible. low clock has been rock solid so far, am still reluctant to throw high clock setup on d board coz i got traumatized with burnt mobo liao. thinkin of hootin waterblock for d board but it's way too costly liao, unless i strike toto during cny else i can just dream bout it.
