what mobo you guys will recommend for 8350 which can offer/provide good oc? (like add 0.5 ghz into it?)
from my research, there's not alot mobo between 500-700 price point offer in our shore. we can go for gaygay-uD3/gd80/evo or the next 1 is sabertooth.
as i'm worry about not much choice of mobo offering pcie 3.0 for future proof. (amd r-290x CF via pcie 3.0....or so.)
it seems like mobo for amd is so little/scarce choices for now  sad.gif

still no pcie 3.0. only board that has pcie 3.0 is juz the sabertooth gen 3, r2.0....
i'll wait for the BF 4 OR/ R-290X release, then only decide on my cpu path. but i'm kinda sad as there's not much choice compare to phenom II period.

What's the usual stock voltage for FX8350? I have mine at 1.375V.

stock vid differs from chip to chip i think, d lower d better but usually bios (with auto) will overvolt it to lower 1.4V region. there are lotsa room for u to undervolt if u dont oc, or some oc headroom if u stick with so called stock volt. it's has always been like this for AMD chips for few generations from what i observed. smile.gif

Currently suspecting my rig having insufficient voltage power as sometimes it shuts down automatically. Also, sometimes games like Fifa 13/14 tend to have micro-stuttering during cutscene. Coil whine sound is produced. Kinda loud. Hmmm. CPU bottlenecking or?

Could be early signs of a dying PSU. I recently changed my PSU, before this it started to have occasional lags and stutters, not long later sparks came out from the PSU, then it completely died. sweat.gif

Nope. Coil whining doesn't come from the mobo, it comes from the psu instead.

It's the PSU that's producing the coil whining. 4.4ghz only bro.

Ps: misread just now

Btw, seriously there 's a difference comparing both seasonic 650 m12 and Tx650m? Both are bronze certified.

Tho i do had read somewhere b4 that old TX series have some problems.. It was not made by Seasonic tho.. can't remember the OEM, either CWT or something.. sweat.gif
Different manufacturers different quality i'd say.. hmm.gif

Since it is still usable now save up for a new PSU just in case and monitor the situation closely. If you PSU is indeed weakened, it should not be able to take full load with ease so whenever you are drawing power you should experience auto shutdown/restart, stuttering or sometimes can cause BSoD as well.

Right now, I'm having stuttering on cutscene on games. For my autoshutdown case, it only occurs once in a while whereby my mcp355 motor doesn't manage to run when I'm turning on the pc and it shut down automatically right after that.
