nobody in their right mind will buy d monster unless they are die hard fans. @ USD$5xx iirc, it's way off budget for a live long supporter like me. AMD had long lost d battle in enthusiast platform, but in budget platform, FM2 is worthy of attentions. Awesome APU aside, these cili padi (in term of MHz) are quite fun to play with, kinda like duron of old times. with FM2+ chips only available next year, one can grab a FM2+ board (available very soon) plus a richland chip to play with...

Owh ok...now you guys using what setup on daily basis? Sure ohsem setup one.

fm2 as main rig, fm1 as wifey rig, not so sure u can call it awesome bro...

all d k chips (5800k, 6800k etc...) have unlocked multi, so no worry bout that.

air coolin as in non stock cooler rite? u can have at least 4.5GHz for decent air coolers on 6800k, that i can assure u... my so so CM Seidon 120M can bench @ 5GHz with some helps of my bedroom's aircond @ 24'C.

just try ya best bro... these stuffs wont cost a big whole in ya wallet while able to provide decent amount of fun... ur into ram tweakin rite? haswell is nice but d budget can be doubled or trippled. ddr3 3k+ is really temptin but budget wise...

good news is pokde will be joinin d fm2 bandwagon soon... i'm waitin for him to release his awesomeness once he get his hands on a fm2+ mobo...

this is 1st time i bought hi end amd sys, how to sucseccfully overcloock vishera fx8320? what exactly the setting in bios?? which one need disable?

bcoz i just tried overclock use amd overdrive software..auto oc to 4.4ghz. when i play crysis 3, its not smooth, it stutter like very few FPS, but FPS record by FRAPs was ok. and my mobo can't detect my oc hd6950>hd6970 from 2nd bios. only can use default bios 1 (which is 6950 default). before no problem use bios 2 6970 with asus m5a78Lx matx mobo.

proc: fx8320
mobo: sabertooth r2.0 gen2
ram: hyperx 1600Mhz 2x4Gb

i'd say yes if d upgrade wont caused u an arm & leg. better oc headroom, lower volt needed, improved power consumption, slightly improved imc... however, u need some luck in gettin a better vishera. avoid earlier batch (might not be applicable to all) coz my 1st 8350 was lemon, 2nd one worked alot better.

dont use fraps to record game play, iirc d video will be records is @ fixed fps. if i'm not mistaken fraps eat up lotsa cpu power hence d lagginess during game play + fraps running.

for gfx issue could it be gfx driver related?

not sure about that, but before oc, the game smooth even when i use frap. do i need to disable cool n quiet or something like that when oc vishera? i think something about bios setting but i don't know how, n sabertooth advanced bios setting make me huhu.

about gfx, i don't think its driver bcoz when i use my asus m5a78-lx, its detect both default bios 1 hd6950 and unlock bios 2 hd6970. when i switch to bios 2 hd6970 + sabertooth, it'll stuck even before i can enter mobo bios, no display at all. n boot device led on mobo will on. n my sabertooth just return from RMA

what mobo you guys will recommend for 8350 which can offer/provide good oc? (like add 0.5 ghz into it?)
from my research, there's not alot mobo between 500-700 price point offer in our shore. we can go for gaygay-uD3/gd80/evo or the next 1 is sabertooth.
as i'm worry about not much choice of mobo offering pcie 3.0 for future proof. (amd r-290x CF via pcie 3.0....or so.)
it seems like mobo for amd is so little/scarce choices for now
