Dear Sifus,

I have got some questions that I am sure most of you who are working in sg will be able to guide me.

I am a fresh grad working in a MNC in malaysia.
Now I am looking for opportunity in singapore. However, all those job postings I found in JObstreet and JObsDB will specify only PR or citizen.
For that matter, I am assuming they will not accept me even if I am good enough because I do not have PR nor citizenship.

How do I find companies that are willing to apply for working permit for me?

Advice please. Thanks smile.gif

Why dun try some listed companies or SME?
These companies takes in alot of non-pr malaysians.
MNCs at many of times being snapped up by singaporean and PR.

The income ceiling might have rise, as the 'sandwich' rakyat is calling for th celing to be higher.

income ceiling only applies for new HDB leh, which PR's can't buy anyway. If you buying off secondary market no such limit.

I wonder how many of you intend to:-

(A) stay and work in SG short term for 3 to 5 years or PR wins the next GE and will be announce the new federal government.

(B) stay and work in SG mid-term for 5 to 10 years regardless what will happen unless SG got an earthquake.

© stay and work in SG long-term for 10 years & above or as long as RM2.40 = $1.00

(D) stay, start a family, raise ur children and work in SG till retirement...

I only falls into category (A) bcos too much commitment back at my hometown.

bump this.. hmm.gif how any more wan to contribute we can learn? nod.gif

Nolah I think he means that many people who at first didn't have any work permit or PR/citizenship managed to get a SG company to offer them a job & help them apply WP/EP/whatever.

@newaisa I'd say 90% of us here in this thread fit that description.

Hi Guys,

I'm starting work in Singapore in Mid August at Kallang (but get off at Aljunied MRT though).

I'm looking for a room for 1 to rent ideally either in Aljunied (Bus 125 if possible) or Tanah Merah,Tampines,Bedok, Simei, Kallang area. If anyone has friends looking for house mate, Appreciate if you can let me know.

Regards,
Ian
