Meaning to get back the stock rom just download from asus website for the WWversion and then flash with nvflash?

thanks.
*
nah thats not going to work.

prime rom replaces files in your TF with other versions.

i dont think asus update from microsd is going to work

try this - it will flash the original ROM just the way it came when you bought it - but it will erase everything.

http://tabletroms.com/forums/transformer-r...king-tools.html

the admin there zerofeel is very helpful

download this file - its Asus original Honeycomb 3.2 with nvlfash tools for Windows.

http://downloads.tabletroms.com/zerofeel/t...657/Windows.zip

1) unzip the file - make sure its not corrupted, check MD5 if needed.

2) put your TF in APX mode

3) connect TF to PC.

3) just double click on Download.bat > profit.

guys, any of u guys experience lag when doing nothing?....i find it is quite laggy...

then i install apps killer to monitor.....there are a few things that will auto launch...atleast 6 programs...is that normal?...

this is the running program

wallpaper wizard
maps
my net
clock
youtube
apps organizer
google search

why 6 program only but the tablet become quite laggy?..the transaction between 1 pages to another are quite lag.. i dont use live wallpaper

Added on August 21, 2011, 11:54 amanother thing, i open setting>application>running service..i check the ram..why it says 132mb used 462 free...only 600mb?..i tot ram is 1Gh..im confuse...
*
i uninstalled wallpaper wizard, its always running in background

you need to install some sw to freeze your unused apps

like mynet, i dont use it, i freeze it > freezing is renaming the apps so that android does not see the file with apk extension and does not run it

task killers / app killers make it slow too, it always kills tasks and honeycomb loads it again. its not efficient.

freezing apps better than killing it or uninstalling it.

Curious to know, do we reccommend to take the TF101 with or without the dock?

did you restart the computer after installing asus suite ?

http://www.androidsupernova.com/2011/08/mi...us-eee-pad.html
*
new build number, but still honeycomb 3.2 right ?

do i have to unroot to update this or will OTA still work ?

if i need to unroot, and after i apply the OTA update, can i re-root again using the same method for rooting 3.2 since its still 3.2 ?

shit... i have a lot of dumb questions... sorry...

2)everything is up and running

3)restarted countless time

Added on August 21, 2011, 7:02 pmbtw can someone explain to me how to make sure the adb is working?
Step 2. Verify that you have adb running properly.
Since adb.exe is included in the download, you really don't need the sdk or adb from elsewhere.
2a. connect your tf via USB to your PC after installing the driver and other apps from step 1.
2b. Open Command prompt on your pc (win key+R) and open (and extract) Tf_rootkit_31 (link at bottom of post).
2c. Navigate to /tf_rootkit_31/root_app/ folder from the downloaded and extracted file, drag "adb.exe file to the open command prompt window.
(it should read something like C:\....\tf_rootkit_31\adb.exe)
2d. After the "adb.exe" press space bar and type "devices" (w/o quotes ofcourse) press enter.
If it says "List of Devices attached" and under that a 15 mixed numbers and letters (serial number) followed by device then adb is working!

If NOT, look at the stickies or search on google on getting adb to work on your OS.

thanks.
*
open up command prompt

use 'cd' command to go to the folder where the files (adb.exe, adbwinapi.dll, adbwinusbapi.dll) are

it should look like c:\xxxx\downloads\rootkit_method\adb>

use dir command > make sure you can see the files mentioned above

now type this 'adb remount' (without the quotes)

tell us what it says...

I'm not rooted at the moment so I'm not really sure actually but if honeycomb behaves the same way as Android 2.x OS, if you're just rooted and not on a custom ROM you should be able to update without unrooting but you will most likely lose your root privileges once you update. This is based off my experience after rooting my Nexus One some time back then updating to the latest firmware made me lose my rooting capabilities but no data was lost. However I still strongly advice you backup your data and apps with Titanium Backup before you attempt any update / unrooting process as per "standard procedure" smile.gif
*
nah... my TF is still in experimental stage... nothing to backup....

i'll give it a go once the new build is out on 23rd...

thanks

Anyone manage to root their B70? I can flash custom room but cant root with brk method LOL

What method is the easiet to root?

thanks.
*
if you have already flashed the unsecure boot.img file of BRK's you are already rooted

adb is just used to install superuser and busybox to the phone

there is a manual way of installing superuser and busybox and chmod the files to be executable.

*
try restarting your TF

maybe your windows user account no admin rights ?

Added on August 21, 2011, 7:42 pmand asus pc suite needs to be installed, but it does not need to run when you want to use adb > maybe its already using adb, thats why you can launch adb ??

i can install superuser but when open titanium backup it says busybox not installed is there a manual way of installing the busybox?
*
have to copy the busybox file using root explorer to the correct system/bin folder if i am not mistaken

then have to change the file to the executable using chmod XXX

cant remember the exact folder and the exact command... let me google...

Added on August 21, 2011, 8:23 pmthere is one more thing you can try -

1) reboot computer and TF

2) tick usb debug mode

3) run asus sync on the computer

4) connect TF to PC

5) wait for the sync icon on your TF taskbar (where the battery icon is)

6) tap on the icon once and tap again on the popup window

7) TF will try to sync with PC

8) try the adb command now

btw, how to close an apps like SGSII?
*
settings > application > force close

but i would not recommend that if the app is working fine

honeycomb automatically allocates resources and you dont have to kill anything

Dear all Transformers,

I am the newest transformer and I need to learn a lot of things with all the seniors here. First of all I would like to have a handwriting ime install into my X'mer. Are there any ime's supporting this X'mer?
Second question, today also the first day I make wifi connection to my company line and the signal shows very week, whereas my laptop connection is very strong. Why?
Thirdly, please do recommend some productivity apps as I use the X'mer for my works.

Thank you in advance....
*
test the wifi in McD or something, maybe your AP is not compatible.

TF does not implement the full range wireless-N mode so it might have issues with N capable routers.
