1) Notes as in normal text? No issue. Ebooks depends. If you are referring to PDF, not that good at the moment. iPad also same issue. But if you are talking about reading magazines like those from Zinio (such as reader's digest, chip magazine, etc), its pretty good. I love reading it with my Transformer.
2) Good for simple stuff, for complex stuff PC still better. It takes time to do some stuff but like i said, for simple stuff no issues. If you wanna do fancy stuff like TOC, add colours, borders, align stuff here and there..PC/laptop still better for sure
3) Using google cloud print u can but you need 3rd party software for this like what louyeh has mentioned.
Note taking using soft keyboard and Android keyboard (virtual) works fine but i think there is still huge rooms for improvement for handwritten notes using stylus and handwriting recognition on Android Honeycomb tablets.

as CyberKewl pointed out, PDF file opening/scrolling/zooming performance leaves a lot to be desired in current generation of tablets and mobile phones, be it Windows Mobile, Android, iOS, Symbian or Maemo/Meego.

Some paid app for PDF viewing on Honeycomb tablets does show some improvement over Polaris Office.

A tablet can be a good mobile companion for a PC/Laptop/Netbook but it wont be replacing it anytime soon.

Well, i check on wiki, Class4 means sustain 4MB/sec while Class10 is 10MB/sec.
*
most modern and 'real' Class 4 cards can exceed 4MB/s

like i said earlier, faster ability to read/write smallers chunks of data is more important than continuous reading/writing speed.

Faster Class 10 MicroSDs would only show their true potential when copying large files to/from the MicroSD.

unless the only operation you are performing is copying files to/from the card you would not need a Class 10 MicroSD in any current Android devices.

future versions of Android OS / Custom ROMs might be able to take advantage of Class 10 MicroSDs if they are able to make Android OS read/write data in larger chunks such as 1024Kb or 2048Kb.

Added on September 19, 2011, 10:49 pmPS : if you are also going to use the card in other devices as well such as DSLRs or HD recording devices please go with the higher Class 10.

For DLSR continuous shooting for e.g. you surely can see the difference of Class 4 and Class 10 memory cards.

Added on September 19, 2011, 10:55 pmCrystalDiskMark would be able to project a 'real-world' performance index of your cards.

Does Sandisk microSDHC 32GB CLass 4 enough for daily usage? main aim is to view 720p video as smooth as possible.
*
i am planning to buy one soon, 32GB.

have a few large capacity full size SD cards for use in other devices but not many MicroSDs.

i should have bought MicroSDs in the first place doh.gif doh.gif

if you find anywhere selling 32GB cheap do tell me... wink.gif

not supported by any device at the moment. needs a special microsd reader onboard to read this
*
that is where you are mistaken...

hardware wise, SDHC and SDXC are similar

i am pretty confident the 'modern' micro sd card reader in the Asus Transformer comes with the latest firmware.

unless Asus picked a 'cheap' 'outdated' card reader for the TF.

AFAIK, linux/unix does not differentiate between SDHC/SDXC. I am pretty sure Android kernel works somehwat similar.

i am just worried about the filesystem being used, exFAT, which belongs to Micro$oft. doh.gif

Asus (and other manufacturers) need to pay Micro$oft in order to use the exFAT filesystem. doh.gif

I miss good old FAT32 thumbup.gif

You might be right and you might be wrong..depends on our TF actually:

"However, the card will only work in smartphones and tablets that offer a microSDXC card slot, so you might want to check your device before you get too excited. Many phones only support the microSDHC standard, which maxes out at 32GB. It’s amazing to think that the new microSDXC standard will eventually support capacities of up to 2TB all on a tiny card about the size of dime."

EDIT: Read somewhere it is using exFat which is not supported by Linux but you could use a card reader and format it off to NTFS..there's a guide to do that I believe...not sure if anyone tested it out..cos if the process fails and messes up the microsd..that's $200 USD gone
*
nah, formatting is just rearranging the filesystem blocks. changes are completely reversible.

god knows how many times i have reformatted my usb sticks from FAT32 to FAT16 to NTFS to ext2/ext3/ext4 shakehead.gif shakehead.gif

i am sure the same rules apply to memory cards as well.

but i guess by the time they release 128GB or 256GB MicroSDXCs at reasonable prices we would have sold off our Asus Transformer 1 and be using Asus Transformer 3 with Tegra4 maybe... who knows... brows.gif brows.gif

can you play 720p smoothly? I can't, no matter how I tried. Most players load slow, very sluggish and no subtitles.

only 1 player does the job so far, that also not at a good 25fps.
*
somehow most of my small size 720p movies play fine, though not very high bitrate ones.

most of my mkv's are encoded to around 1.5GB - 2GB size only. i am guessing around 1000 - 2000 kbps bitrates plus minus.

i haven't gotten around to testing bigger 720p files, say around 4GB or larger mkv files with 2000-3000 kbps bitrates.

there might be issues playing smoothly due to higher bitrates.

i'm using Dice Player by the way...

Tegra3 Quad Core actually has 5 cores !!

Sauce - from Nvidia

4 Main cores and one low power slower core for mundane tasks like background data and widgets.
