So I guess Tegra2 is at it peak Performance in which won't able to play 720p or even 1080p at it's best level.
*
That is something Nvidia will resolve with Kal-El (Tegra 3).

I've tried using Mobo Player, able to play converted MP4 from Handbrake at video bitrate of 3000kbps. The file size just 75mb for 3:17 and can't play smoothly on MX Player doh.gif

Any user had tried using XiliSoft converter with Nvidia CUDA optimised?

To those who want to print simple doc on Android platform:

Go to register and set up an Amazon Appstore's account.
Today, Amazon Appstore is giving out PrinterShare Mobile Print for free.
It costs USD 12.95.
Hurry up, the offer usually lasts one day only.

The advantage of this software is it can connect printers on LAN to print the documents.
I have tested it, it works flawlessly for my HP printer.

P/S: Pls google the setting up process of an Amazon Appstore's account outside US.

do not buy until you try out both to see which suits your needs better. both have pros and cons but yes, eee pad transformer is more worth it due to the fact that its android and that you can do a lot more stuff with it compared to ipad. but ipad has an advantage at the moment in which they have more tablet-specific apps for it, but that'll soon change as android is evolving very quickly and we're seeing more and more tablet specific apps being developed for android already. Just google around to see what's the difference between ipad and eee pad transformer, go to the shops and test it out and decide which one you want.

well it all depend on your friend's need.

If your friend want something that is simple and work out of the box just get ipad2.

On android you may want need to tweak your device to get the best out of it.

Both are powerful but android stands out being more user customable. iPad is purely user friendly and basic. TF101 has true HD display giving crisp image. But video playback lack at some point.

I want to exchange my tf since it can't powered on last few days. Should I return it back to Evernew MV or just go to Asus Service Centre directly? Btw where is the ASUS service center with LRT nearby?

Guys, finally i have found the best converter to run on Asus Transformer TF101.

Playback : MX Video Player (FOC)

Converter : Xilisoft HD Converter version 6.0
This converter comes with CUDA optimised, helps me to convert blazing fast. 4 cores on GTX260...

No more choppy scence, on 8000kbps video bit rate...

Say bye bye to Handbrake...

just a general observation... no 'scientific' tests done.

* lots of FCs since i updated to the new firmware. but could also be coz my son keeps pressing the same icon while waiting for apps to load. but the FC comment was also observed by wife.
* TF not really sleeping when its on sleep/ standby?!? over the weekend, one night, we heard sound coming from somewhere in the bedroom. then found it was from the TF. it's supposed to be on standby/ sleep (quick press on TF's power button). but the sound was coming from the TF -- every few mins, got some sound, then no sound. i turned on the TF and ya, one apps was still running and the sound was coming from the apps.

exit the apps and power down the TF. all ok after that.

Dear guys,

I want to get this AEPT but I am not sure whether it will satisfy my needs.

I would like to turn this to my secondary computer to bring to my uni.

Questions are:

1) How good is it to view notes or ebooks (very or any lags)?
2) Polaris, is it good to do my assignments?
3) can i print my notes directly from the AEPT?

Thanks
2)

2) Word processing using Polaris is good enough. Comparison of five major office apps
3) Google cloud printing on 'server' end + PrinterShare app will enable printing from any printer.

actually, i would say even Android is good for this...

reasons...?
#1. BT works already. no other apps required.
#2. watch movies? just copy to microSD, plug it... watch. ok, maybe you might wanna download some other players. but no need to convert existing files, unless it's over 4GB.
#3. office? hmmm... polaris office comes to mind.

but with ipad2... almost everyone has ipad/ iphone. so these ppl would already be the first level tech support. with android, you'd probably need to ask someone who owns the same device, coz otherwise, the feel, etc would be different.
