no need buy first ... just use the demo version until they sort out everything tongue.gif

btw, what type movie makes it laggy ?? On my transformer, its only laggy if i uses SW decode (Mobo handles SW decodes much better)
oh ya and welkam back !!!

haha... i think Asus's warranty is still good after all, i sent the keyboard to complain some crackling sound when i hold it in a certain way, they say the tablet and the keyboard after close lid doesnt align properly, and they change the housing of the keyboard dock for me..

upgraded to 3.2, apart from app zooming, i don see much things difference, the cursor, it's big, but then again, so is our finger tips, this is like simulating our finger tip

anyway, for me, i throw in Kamen Rider OOO to play and see, most scenes are fluid and nice, while certain scenes with many color + many many actions, it will stutter badly, i havent tried other videos, maybe tonight i'll test some other videos. i kinda like the app a lot, at least compared to other player, i can now somewhat enjoy my videos out of the box from how i downloaded it. Sadly, i tot titanium backup was in my memory card, while it's actually in the internal memory, everything was wiped away and i lost all my stuff(my saved games, for god sake >.<) now i'm just slowly recovering it, i am also waiting for custom overclockable roms + kernal, to test if Dice player can play even better after overclock, if can, i will just buy and and stick with it

yeah, to me 3.2 doesn't seems to do much. What i've noticed, apps that previously auto scale does the same now and apps that previously doesnt autoscale u can make it bigger but uglier which defeat the purpose lol

about dice, yeah .. i'm enjoying it too , at least can watch most of my anime without doing any conversion (time consuming) . will continue to use the demo(it can still work after 3 days tongue.gif) until they fix everything, then will purchase.

honestly, i dun see anything as major issues... perhaps you do.

if you do... maybe you can list your concerns here for us to see? that way, you can also decide objectively if its an issue or non issue.

for most of us, its a non-issue and we're happy to have our freedom to do what we want and not be dictated. it's something that we just can't put a value on... smile.gif

ah good to hear that. just that i have seen many posting here on speakers imbalance, keyboard keys not working, keyboard not recognised, battery drain, camera apps not working, frequent crashes etc. have all these been resolved with the latest updates?

truly understand and agree on the "not be dictated" part .......especially freedom from itunes nod.gif

oh ya any recommendation on where to get this? are stocks for the 16gb readily available in lowyat or do i need to go hunting like the ipad2? many thanks.

i think there aint much to be fixed, it's just slowly improving the codec even more. i'm looking forward into what ice cream can bring us, as i kinda feel it's HoneyComb that is dragging our performance down... and with certain overclock pushing, i do think we can have 1080p @ High to be played somewhat lag free de... so far i seen how good 1.6Ghz can improve from Asphalt 6 before this, i just hope it can work wonders on video players also. now need to just wait for Asus to release their kernal source code, or i might flash back to 3.1 tonight to test overclocking with Dice

Experienced no.2 sometimes. You have the weather widget on your home screen? I suspect it may be the culprit.

There's already a method to get Clemsyn kernel to work on custom ROMs on 3.2, check XDA. It involves editing the Voodoo sound module.

yeah, but it's not based on the Asus's 3.2 kernal, what i want is the kernal that is based on Asus's 3.2, i wouldnt wanna loss NTFS and dual battery widget functionality again now... actually i feel there aint much difference in 3.1 and 3.2 anyway, i don feel much performance gain BTH, i prolly just try revolver ROM for now, then flash to clemsyn kernal when it supports revolver rom

hmm.. it see what u mean now, Prime 1.7 + clemsyn, i'll try that tonight if i'm free

to answer you:
* speakers imbalance -- not yet but could be easily fixed. just wondering why asus taking so long. to be honest, i dun even know if mine is affected. i can hear sound. fine with me... lol

* keyboard keys not working, keyboard not recognised -- first time hearing this. i think like i mentioned before, just test everything before you pay for the unit. tell the shop what you wanna do and make sure they agree. and make sure they break the seal in front of you.

* battery drain -- depends on one's definition of battery drain. if leave wifi on... expect battery to be 'used'. but i think if one shuts down the tablet, one should not have such issue.

* camera apps not working -- first time hearing as well...

* frequent crashes -- again, first time hearing as well. apps crashing as in Force Close? once in a while... but that's more to do with the apps.

* etc -- do list your etc so we can help clarify... smile.gif

the only *real* problem for me that prevents me from using the TF to its fullest potential :

- keyboard lag

i know, opera and other browsers, but i really love the stock browser interface...

well, if u are choosing between iPad 2 and this, i would need to ask, what is your main priority? if u just want games, frankly say, Android are still catching up on that, but new games on major game distro already have the same game on both iOS and Android, but still, i would say more higher quality game(in graphics and variants) are in iOS so far. as for functionality, i think iPad 2 wont be beating the TF after all, TF plays more video formats out of the box, and for most default softwares, video player, browser, music player, there are some other, better version of them on the market to improve the usage experience, however, that actually needs more digging and research. If u want something simple out of the box and easy to use, and don mind the lacking of customization and some other features, i guess iPad might be more suited for u , and as for TF, it's more suited for ppl who willing to spend some time to explore, and experiment, starters in android or not, take ur time to learn about it and discover new stuff that brings even better usage experience...

So far i havent heard of keyboard keys not working, maybe u mean key mapping issue as some other forumer mention, that was just caused by the locale setting. Imbalance speaker is caused by one of the config file, just actually editing the file will solve that issue already, non hardware related
Battery drain is an issue with u dock ur tablet with the keyboard for some people, if u are afraid of that, just unplug it.
as for camera apps not working... i think it was some early version of custom rom and we are discussing it here, no one have any broken camera apps so far... as for frequent crashes, there are 2 reasons now. first, the apps itself. some applications are still rather buggy publish, and easily just crash and force close when u hit some certain steps, nothing we can do about it, apart from waiting for the devs to fix it. Second, Android 3.x, Honeycomb is now for tablet only and it is somewhat different from gingerbread. Most application are build for gingerbread, so we cannot expect them to run perfectly on Honeycomb. Again, nothing we can do apart from waiting for Ice Cream Sandwich update to come.

as for where to get it.. apart from avoid Evernew Mid Valley, i guess the rest of the place is cool(Pyramid Evernew is ok btw, friendly staffs)

well i have the iphone and before that winmob xperia x1. the winmob x1 was a nightmare haha. i was hook on xda and constant rom updates was tiring tongue.gif not to mention backup, restore, crash, not working this and that etc. with the iphone as usual - easy to use but boring even when jailbreak. everything is lock down which is no fun.

since i want to get a tablet, i would like to give android a try and so far i am liking what i see in the transformer with very good expansion. just that some of the qc issues found on forums makes me a little uneasy but i think most of these are resolved by updates and later batches. i don't play much games other than the usual angry bird, doodle etc. which are all available on android. i also like how most stuff are free on the android while you need to pay pay pay on the iphone and also how customisable it is. i have looked at the ipad2 for sometime but i find it to be an iphone with a bigger screen and i dun like to follow the trand haha. will dropby lowyat later. many thanks!

Let me share a joke with you all. I just bought Eee pad transformer from Canada but without a cover case. I went to a decent computer shop in Penang, ask for any case for sale since they have a few boxes of eee pad as stocks.

Their answer? No, no such cover case for Asus eee pad because Eee pad slider is out soon and no one wants to make cover case for the old model. Please use netbook bag instead. I was puzzled with such answer.

Daiso RM5 shop selling spongy pocket case with zip, just nice to fit in TF. Use as temporary case before finding a proper case.
