Hey, just believe me because I see a lot of Thinkpads everyday, so I know what I'm saying

I don't understand what's the attachment/nostalgia with IBM's PC business. It no longer exist and Think machines were a legacy product from that division. The product line will remain as a brand of Lenovo since it is the cornerstone of the acquisition.
IBM has reshaped itself as a software and services firm (although they still retain their high margin server business). In the next decade, people will hardly even remember the days of the IBM computers.
The 15" T60s are no longer offered in 4:3 aspect ratio. They're now all widescreen since it is cheaper to produce them (widescreen LCDs are cheaper due to economies of scale). The ones still sold in the Malaysian market are most probably old stock (get them while you can). Are the T and X series even sold in Malaysia anymore? Lenovo seems to have scaled back Thinkpad distribution and sales in "emerging markets".
Lastly, shouldn't quality be about the same? I believe IBM has outsourced Thinkpad production for the last decade or so, like every other OEMs.
Bro, Its really hard to "Just Believe" couse i also see thinkPad everyday and i still see IBM logo on it (My T60)

But after i see the picture above i'll believe and totally agree with your quotes above. What i can do now is cross fingers and hope Lenovo will continue making good machine as in old IBM days.
Even without IBM logo or ThinkPad totally own by chinese firm.. i'll still continue support it as long as they can build good machine.. brand for me really nothing.. i just want to have a machine that can serve me well and give me less trouble.
I got few other lappy but until now i still keep typing on Lenovo ThinkPad.. Compare with my mom IBM made ThinkPad T43.. i feel lenovo build are not bad and can say par with IBM build machine

Anyway.. Hope ThinkPad will survive longer then me
