I also worry about this now.. My order for free upgrade seem take forever for them to deliver it le.. haih.. very sad

I order 2 set of Windows Vista Business 32bit..

1 is for Asus W7J, month ago and another 1 is my ThinkPad T60.. I think now almost 3 week liao But lucky both status is POP/COA verified but the delivery date still left blank.. i check it everyday and now become my daily task, to check if they deliver it yet or not..

I dont understand, since they already verified my Prove Of Purchase and my COA number and now Vista already on market why dont they ship it out? They say "Be the 1st to experience Windows Vista".. but now i think they reverse it already..

Anyway.. no hurry.. but i feel like get cheated by silly advertisement.

Go any pc shop and ask them help u burn 1 oem win xp pro then reinstall it with your key (look at the microsoft sticker behind your pc)

p/s: dont forget to pay them ah! and must burn with original win xp pro cd.. pirate 1 wont work with original keys i try it liao.

Very sad i tot only rumors saying that Vista drain batt more faster then XP.. If drain batt faster then XP how to fully utilise it with a portable pc aka lappy =( XP last 3hours+ and i really hope Vista can last longer..

Bro, To download the driver u still need the model number beside R40e Type 2684..

1) Go to lenovo webby.
2)Click Support and Download
3)Select you product
4)scroll down and click Notebooks and Handhelds
5)Family ( choose R40e)
6)Type (Choose 2684)
7)Model (Bro u didn give info bout your model munber...)

Or just click Auto Detect

Wow, already 2 year plus and still in perfect condition must been taken very good care of it!
Mine gettin hotter.. Dont know why after i change the proc this machine run like want to burn my lap.. I did apply Cooler Master thermal compound.. (Nano Fusion) cost me rm30 but still hotter then my old proc.. But i notice it run faster when editing stuff but i lost the comfortable cold machine feeling already.. Hope this lappy can last like 3 years lah..

Bro, if you always travel and dont mind to look at 12' screen for hours.. then i think u wont go wrong with X60.

Im kinda regrat after get this T60 (Not the spec or anything but the weight) Goin round trip from SG and Jb everyday really tiring.. Lappy alone 2.5kg + my stuff..

But T/R series u can upgrade the proc and ram while X series you cant upgrade the proc couse the proc are soldered on the board.

And i dont think your bos like to watch a 12' screen when u presenting your works to him

really hard to decide bro..

Bro, 3 years is a long time if use it everyday (Senior Lappy!!).. i got a silly question.. did your LCD ever fail you for past 3 years? I really worry bout this couse LCD really cost alot

OMGBBQ~ how long you use it till u need to change it? Did they charge u? If yes how much? Ah im getting more and more worry bout this LCD already

Btw normally lappy LCD lifespan is how many hours ah? Like some plasma TV they can last for freaking 60,000 hours.. that make it last for almost 7 years! But i guess lappy LCD lifespan should be shorter then this right?

Doh.. i google and i get this "Flat-panel LCD screen displays have a lifespan approaching 60,000 hours" so i think its same with plasma TV!

Batt still ok for me maybe cost me like rm250 but can use for 2 years.. while ThinkLight is really good but i really seldom use it.. when i close my light it means time to sleep! =D
