QUOTE(wtm0325 @ Feb 9 2007, 10:53 PM) it runs smooth w aero, and i think actually 1.5gb is more than enuf, since the start up memory is near 700mb only Very sad i tot only rumors saying that Vista drain batt more faster then XP.. If drain batt faster then XP how to fully utilise it with a portable pc aka lappy =( XP last 3hours+ and i really hope Vista can last longer..cant comment on its stability, it's still new, lots of program are still not compatible w it, and frankly i only find the major improving is the aero, nothing much differs from xp for current time being i rather stick w xp, the battery life degrades a lot and quite a headace to find the right software to install as well Haih.. |

QUOTE(mortgage @ Mar 12 2007, 01:49 PM) Hi, newbie here.. Bro, if you always travel and dont mind to look at 12' screen for hours.. then i think u wont go wrong with X60.Was contemplating a earlier macbook but too much of a risk in terms of support as I'm very much into SQL Server for running my website database.. Then it was T60 but untill recently, I saw the X60 which make sense as the 1.57KG provides me the type of mobility that does not compromise on the specs. I need some advice on these 2 latest models; T60 (1951CE6) @ $5,638 - T5500 @ 1.66 - 512 + 512 RAM - 80 SATA HDD - DVD-R Multi Burner - FingerPrint Reader & BlueTooth - 14.1" @ 2.5KG - XP Pro - 3 Years Limited Warranty X60 (1706BQ2) @ $6,688 - T5600 @ 1.83 - 512 + 512 RAM - 80 SATA HDD - External DVD Multi Burner - FingerPrint Reader & BlueTooth - 12.1" @ 1.57KG - XP Pro - 3 Years Limited Warranty The only reason I'm more inclined to the X60 is the weight coz I really use it for presentation to clients very often but on the other hand, the 12.1" screen is a bit too small. Can anyone help me with the assessment on its value or worth on these 2? Or should I get the R60 (9455A53) currently @ $3,388? Price is not a significant, I am just looking at its 'worth' and 'value for money' in terms of optimum performance. Thanx.. Im kinda regrat after get this T60 (Not the spec or anything but the weight) Goin round trip from SG and Jb everyday really tiring.. Lappy alone 2.5kg + my stuff.. But T/R series u can upgrade the proc and ram while X series you cant upgrade the proc couse the proc are soldered on the board. And i dont think your bos like to watch a 12' screen when u presenting your works to him really hard to decide bro.. Cheers. |

QUOTE(shackks @ Mar 30 2007, 05:01 PM) Hello there. Bro, try go Techdos at Midvalley.. Maybe they can help you out.. I've got an IBM ThinkPad but I don't know what model is that. My casing has cracked at the back of the notebook and the hinges is loose. Opening the screen is kinda hard as it is already mis-aligned already. Anyone here knows where can I get a replacement casing for this. Thanx in advance. Cheers. |

OMGBBQ~ how long you use it till u need to change it? Did they charge u? If yes how much? Ah im getting more and more worry bout this LCD already
Btw normally lappy LCD lifespan is how many hours ah? Like some plasma TV they can last for freaking 60,000 hours.. that make it last for almost 7 years! But i guess lappy LCD lifespan should be shorter then this right? EDIT: Doh.. i google and i get this "Flat-panel LCD screen displays have a lifespan approaching 60,000 hours" so i think its same with plasma TV! Read here: http://www.lcdtvbuyingguide.com/lcdtv/lcdtv-lifetime.shtml Cheers! This post has been edited by V3000: Apr 3 2007, 07:57 PM |
