Just check around, theatrical and director's cut edition of Das Boot.

Director's cut edition is a restore edition which is much more clearance,  in details & sharpen edition. The theatrical edition is origin non restore edition which is much more grains,  less in details,  darker edition which I couldn't seen the quality of HD.

Director's Cut PQ: 4 star.
Theatrical Edition PQ: 2.5 star.

Both edition sound quality also different,  I only test the origin audio as I don't watch movie in dubs.

Director's Cut AQ: 4.5 star.
Theatrical Edition AQ: 4 star.

* This is the second film I notice different transfer in two version,  another film I notice is sucker punch where extended edition is less grains than theatrical edition.
*
another movie with dif source is RIDLEY SCOTT "LEGEND", DIRECTOR'S cut is not restored.

Oh! thanks, director's cut not restore, I am not interesting already, I more prefer director's or extended cut one.

Finally, Amazon US also release the Star Wars Complete Saga packaging details. I find the US edition better smile.gif

there are mixed reviews, because it doesn't contain the original version for classic star wars purists. so I think I'll have to wait for Ultimate version. I would hate to see versions 4,5,6 different

Added on July 22, 2011, 5:39 pmyup, its true, Episode 4,5,6 is edited with extra computer graphics characters and even some songs changed. all I want it original theatrical version, now I understand why this bluray version is getting bad reviews

After add on those nipples, how nice also no point already. wink.gif

I still prefer US edition, as I like those slip in booklet design + the disc simplicity look. smile.gif

Those slip in booklet design is one thing I don't like as the chance to scratch the disc is much higher.

Andrew, maybe you should get some plastic sleeves to protect the slipcovers on the blu-rays.

You might leave em up on the shelf and not handle the blu-rays much, but there will be shelf wear eventually.
