Game of Thrones: The Complete First Season blu-ray pre-order is up. Great series. Can't wait for Season 2 to start.

A lot of good comments in internet but I haven't seem this series before. Also already pre-order in last week but now still not really sure whehter want to proceed or not. hmm.gif Currently order too much. Have to cut some of them to save $ laugh.gif

Gettysburg / Gods and Generals Limited Collector's Edition already cancelled the order. Secret Sunshine probably will be next one to kick out but still got time from now until release date. Citizen Kane: Ultimate Collector's Edition, Ben-Hur Ultimate Collector's Edition and The Big Lebowski Limited Edition also in my list but no decision make yet. sweat.gif

I just contacted with AMZ UK on my dented PAUL STEELBOOK.

I requested AMZ UK to replace me my steelbook cover only as my disc works well, and their initial response to me was to refund me a discount 15%, that is RM10.

I was very let down. I bought over 200 discs from AMZ UK & never complained before, seems like they never appreciated the past record. Actually PAUL is my 3rd dented steelbook from AMZ UK, my previous 2 steelbook - GREEN ZONE & WOLFMAN both dented, WOLFMAN steelbook even cannot be closed.

I am interested in 4 more steelbook from AMZ UK, - AKIRA, HANNA, FAST 5 & SCAREFACE, so i send an email to highlight thir weekness & i got nil response from them.
*
Next time, just inform them item damaged and not need to describe too much. tongue.gif Then their will refund all. In fact, since PAUL already out of stock, it is pratically impossible to ask them to replace the case only.

Furthermore, Customer Service officers not necessary know or appreciate the customers since if not mistaken, Amazon actually ask some Indian company, or somewhere around there to handle their Customer Service. At least, during after office hour in US or UK. hmm.gif

No leh.

I once bought a Region-Locked title from Amazon UK as well.

What I did was first to email their CS Dept. They agree to give me full refund, but I have to go through the hassle of returning the Blu-ray disc to them, following their instructions stated on their website.

Whether its worth the hassle or not will depend on the total value of the titles you want to refund. ;-)

Check the info first before you place order is still the best step before you place your order. Of course, unless you got region free player or media player+rip program that can remove region lock, then you need not to worry the region thing.

if really no choice, just do what ANDREW suggest - sell it or keep it for future when MULTI-ZONE player available here.

brother low, please give some comment on AKIRA STEELBOOK AMZ UK. laugh.gif

That one is region locked. Can't play in Region A player. Yesterday, a bit lazy to convert to region free .ISO file. Maybe, I will do it tonight and let you know. But last time I watched Akira is more than 10 years ago. Really don't have much memory for this movie. blush.gif

And for you German readers, WHV has apparently confirmed that there is a problem with the German dubbed audio on the German LOTR: EE BD edition - a pitch correction issue that results in the track running too slow. The original English audio is unaffected. Corrected discs will be available starting on 8/1. If you have a copy of that version, you'll be able to send in your receipt to get the corrected discs, or simply wait until after 8/1 to purchase the set at which time the fixed version should be available.

Just done simple preview (still lazy to watch yet) for Akira. For PQ, I give 4.3 out of 5. Considered quite good already since this is 1988 animation.

Got 2 languages, English and Japanese (both offer TrueHD 5.1) and English is default language. English audio is sharper and Japanese audio is soft compared to English. Runtime is 119 mins. Disc size is 41,318,612,992 bytes.

That's all. Cabut... tongue.gif oops.gif

Thanks Low, you mean we need BD drive on computer?
Created the ISO then burn to another BD-R?
I thought media player box can do this...  sweat.gif
*
No. But still need BD drive and Computer. Convert whole disc into .ISO and save in Media Player's harddisk. No need to burn to another BD-R.

Same as usual (just like Paul). This time, condition of steelbook is very good. Only a very little dented (need to look carefully, otherwise will miss it). tongue.gif

thanks dude, have placed my order, just wait for it to be shipped out.

just curious since u copy the file & watch it, why u keep the disc?
*
Yes. I will kept the disc. Actually, I am quite lazy to extract disc cause it take time blush.gif That is part of the reason I seldom buy BD from Amazon UK since few months ago. Maybe in future, when I buy region free player, I will probably abandon the media player. Thus, I still prefer to keep the discs. tongue.gif

Do you really think its sufficient to blame KDN just because your items are tampered? They are just doing the job..unless they open the stuff makes perfect reason for us to blame them. If your item suffered damages, should it become Amazon's responsible to make sure it arrives in 1 piece?

I got to know recently , one of our forumer who ordered with Amazon UK and his items never arrived in the 1st place. And his complaint lead to another shipment and the 2nd shipment never arrived as well..could it be possibly KDN held it?

1 to 2 years ago, their truly molested my disc vmad.gif Because seal is broken and surface of that disc got finger print! mad.gif Why? the cover look very sexy tongue.gif but that disc is just teach you how to exercise. whistling.gif thumbup.gif .

That's something new. What's that suppose to mean? "KDN jangan kacau parcel ni"? tongue.gif
*
Occasionally, this chop can be seen in my parcel too. I think this practice is nothing new. Probably a instruction to Custom Officers not further check needed. tongue.gif
