QUOTE(DM3 @ Jul 15 2011, 03:19 PM) I scared the car too heavy, the engine wont be able to pick up as fast than. Coz now I'm feeling my inspira is dam wobbly its swinging side to side when cutting cars in high speed. Feel dam dangerous when driving this car. Planning to change 18 inch rims, full set sports bar, and (Future) mod to PP evo X body. Now I just feel the car dam dangerous when driving at the speed above 120. I scared 19 too heavy when mod in future the car will be super heavy that time need to change engine edi. |

If budget permits, buy original 18" rims, and adding some bars do help decrease the wobbly feel at high speeds, like front struts. Can do some self-poison at http://www.ultraracing.com.my/Catalog.asp?...=Inspira&page=1 |

First check tire pressure (30-35, anything above makes car feel floaty and steering not able to hold straight), add front top strut bar, add spring helpers (rubbers) to minimise body roll. All mentioned mods wun cost you above rm400... You can spend more for lowered springs or adjustables if $$ permits. Stock car itself is good enough, could it be you weaving in/out of traffic at high speeds? Added on July 15, 2011, 3:37 pm QUOTE(Matrix @ Jul 15 2011, 03:09 PM) If I am god of gambler... Inspira stock it has the power but the handling wise consider quite bad coz experience a few times this car like the butt swinging off when turning. Guys, not sure if it is appropriate to post this here. I have a lancer ralliart lip for sale. I got it last month from rainbow but because my multilevel carpark is a little stiff and narrow my wife complaint. Got it for 350MYR. Condition wear and tear.. material double enforce FRP (according to rainbow) Letting go for 100 MYR only. Thanks.

QUOTE(DM3 @ Jul 15 2011, 04:00 PM) haha, u sure family sedan like this cant be power up? For manual version can add turbo but so far nobody seem to have done it. For 2.0 cannot add turbo due to that cvt gb... low boost ok but whats the point? Other mods like exhaust and open pod not much improvement. So this is why this Ins thread seems mod free... and at times boring. hahha, alot to do to bring the beast out further |

Yesterday when I was driving around 110km/h or above when cutting cars the car was swinging side to side. I was like WTF!!! Changing to light rims improve pickup. Changing to better rubbers/tires make it stick better, not the rims. Changing to lower profile will improve cornering as less tire wall flex. But if you get 18" and invest in cheap rubbers, pointless. A good 18" rubber sets you back RM600-1000 per tire...The tyre pressure the lower the more grip it gives?? so 30 would be the best? Inspira stock it has the power but the handling wise consider quite bad coz experience a few times this car like the butt swinging off when turning. Lolx yes weaving in and out alot of cars but not traffic jam hahahax >< When I first got the car, tire pressire was 43 psi and I could not keep it straight (due to tire over inflated). Reducing it to 33 helped. Too low and ur FC suffer. I cannot count the percent, I don't think anyone can place a measureable % to it, top strut bar itself improve turning to be a little firm. Not advisable to change rear antiroll bar else your car will be tail free (lose grip of rear a common issue with lancer). When the car is too firm, something has to give.. the tires... Inspira body rolls a lot but you can almost never get it to lose its tail. Its excessive body roll you are experiencing. Seems to me you are another daredevil driver... Means I should get 18 inch rims with good tires what tires do you recommend?? currently ours are using continental rite? RM 1,000 to 6,000 dam for each == GG I think I can get 2,000 ++ each for 18 inch ones not sure need to check again. When I first got the car, tire pressire was 43 psi and I could not keep it straight (due to tire over inflated). LoL I think I'm consider one of the dare devil but not often depends on my mood i guess. Bad mood = Petrol goes down fast lolx. Think you can get 18" rim with rubbers at abt 3K... but those are replica rims and dunno what rubbers they will give you. You can google what tires are good. For stock car, CC5 is good enough but not for high speed as I don't think it aquapans very well in wet. Bridgestone, Michelin or Pirelli... U hv to see the speed rating for the tires and reviews. If you plan to daredevil, the equipment has to match. Google for overseas lancer sites for tips. |
