today a guy looked at my car and said "this is proton ah? Is it 2.0 ah?" (now you know that there are many people out there still dunno much about Inspira) and he asked how much is it, he estimated its over RM100k, I said to him only RM91k la...straight can see his face looked surprised at that figure because he drives a city...

Haha,for this item at this price, profit just enough to buy 1 plate fried rice.

im ahamado,
hv been readin this forum since v1.
booked the car few days after launch (nov last year).
got the car on end of feb.
more than 3months waiting, proton promised 1.5-2months waiting period.
but nvrmind, let bygones be bygones.

this is my 1st car ever.
i was going to get forte but when i heard proton will rebadge mitsu, i just waited patiently until end of last year.
when it was officially launch, i straight away booked the car without even test drive.
reasons that i chose inspira over forte were:

1. manual transmission - no such option for malaysian forte (manual forte available in singapore)
2. 4b10 mivec with aluminium block & head, cvvt on both intake and exhaust - forte 1.6 gamma is older engine, less power, cvvt only on intake.
3. multilink rear suspension - forte runs on torsion beam.
4. i personally believe proton is better than naza, or atleast proton has more experience in automobile compare to young naza.

both cars are good but interm of performance/handling, inspira better.
forte wins on its gadget such as keyless entry & start, auto aircon, reverse camera, auto dimmed mirror and etc.

Hi all, please add me as another proud owner of Inspira 2.0. Solid white. Got it last Friday. Already drove 500km from Kuantan to Port Dickson. Going to Skudai tomorrow, then back to Kuantan. Will reach 1200km in 1st week.

Got one question though; can we distinguish 2.0 engine and 1.8 engine just by the appearance?

Interested with the headlamp switch... you guys install the switch ownself? i scare i duno how to install 

Matrix, have you varied your speed to 200km/h yet? Got any dugong or myvi cucuk you lately?

I don't think its normal. As long as I have opened any door (then close it), it will stay unlocked. Does it indicate on your multi info panel that that passenger door is ajar if you open it?

hmm >< your car autolocks ??? Mine don't >< mine havent to always manually open the locks. Between  Matrix I've heard alot rumors of your reputation in dare devil driving. I wanna ask you something ... have you encounter a problem like when u drive fast and turn into alley or another road do you feel the suspension have a loud click sound??

Icic well I don't have the famous suspension nyek nyek sound in the morning >< but I do have the problem I stated when I turn fast into any roads it has a click sound when turning. Izzit because the pressure is on the suspension??? XD between your car auto locks??? Just now I went into my car and sit inside it for about 5 - 10 mins the car did not auto lock even when i press the brakes.

can someone please let me know izzit normal for the suspension to have this click sound?

From what I experience when driving my parents audi A4 it has a constant clicking sound because the suspension has problem. Audi changed a new suspension for the A4, the suspension spoilt ><. Worrying if my inspira is the same case but my parents Audi click even on straight roads. My inspira click when I turn in a very dare devil way XD.

Actually I own a plum red Inspira 2.0 since end December 2010 (1st batch?)
Actually booked the car without seeing the car(before launch)
As with 1st batch, the ngek sound from absorbers in the morning. Still no solution yet from Proton.
Other than that I am pretty satisfied with the car from the power , handling and FC (much better than the persona)
A real bargain and with the present discount even better.

Read the forum from V1, just plain lazy to post. I am real unker type, never past the 120k/h mark ( will never be able to test the power of the MIVEC.) Not poisoned with mods except the headlamp switch.

Our friend Matrix also declared himself an unker driver, but the car got the better of him... so never say never, it might take you a little long to become a daredevil like him....haha

Yea presently driving both Persona and Inspira. Driven both to and fro Ipoh - Genting. Persona use about 33 liters while Inspira only 29 - 30 liters

anyone apply X1R products? That day go to service, the staff there recommend me..RM28 for engine treatment...he said better mileage as he is using right now..

when i slow my car (releasing my foot from the peddle totally), the car will slow down...then it will jerk (gear change i suppose) but it wont be smooth... i thot the gear changing shld be smooth with the CVT techno...

but i dont hv problem with up shifting... only when slowing down...

anyone has got this problem?

I got the same problem when i press brake in D mode it jerks awhile feels as if its downshifting. Im not sure if its normal anot.... gues i should ask my SA.

I think it depends on how the way u press your brake. I brake slowly and smoothly most of the time that's why i feel the jerk... if you press hard on your brake u wont feel the jerk... lol emm not mentality la ... actually cars i driven only this car jerks when braking. ><

For me, i will refuel around 550km, when the indicator lights flashing after the last bar... It rely heavily on your right root! 9~10km /liter on city, 13~14km / liter on highway (cruising @ 110km/h, and limit daredevil style, maybe for awhile)

i did a detail inspection on my car just now ... (just had my car few days ago), and seriously i m very disaapointed with the workmanship of proton.

i m very sure the front suspension has got some problem, when i drive over a speed bump (at low speed of course) it gives me a "klik klak" sound, thts 1

2nd, the roof... the cushion of the roof was so poorly assembled... it didnt completely seal off into the rubber at the edge near the window... i can easily slid 4 of my fingers in it....

it is bcos of proton or my always bad luck ?? 

Please elaborate more on what you find. For the front absorbers its because of a tight rubber and occurs after parking it for a while (cooled down), sound goes away when it expand after some driving. After few weeks or months the sound disappears.

For the roof, its the same for all even lancers. I recently tested nissan teena also the same case, fingers can slid easily into those area both front and back. Think it was designed this way for some cars, dun ask me why.

Other than suspension others are quite minor considering other problems you may get from the famous T & H brands...
