Going to consider into buying an inspira 2.0 premium edition and going for option 2...

So far is there any prob about the inspira? except the gap and the wind sound... overall like engine and brake system
*
The braking system is lovely. No weird sound, no vibrations and very good stopping powah. thumbup.gif Engine wooohhh....MIVEC engine...the power to destroy Dugong and Cities....priceless.

All,

Just discover the hidden feature on our inspira. i just get my levelling switch & plug into that "ready" scoket on our dashboard. It's hard to believe that our stock inspira headlight is come with moto inside. Now i can move my light beam up & down via that switch remotely on 4 variable steps. you all have to try...
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

i just upload the video for the testing. you can see the light beam move up/down while i'm playing that switch. all is just plug and play.

Ya Shahie, darn cool... what is ur chassis no? How u came to know of this switch?? Video of the headlamp from the front pls... Btw, ur car windows are Mitsu or just the showroom unit?

Added on July 6, 2011, 12:29 am

What I showed you under the hood wasn't blink blink mods... why u never get poisoned?  biggrin.gif

Btw, headlamp mod is the biggest blink blink mod...
*
Not really. I find the headlamp actually too low for my liking, especially on highway driving...it could do a bit better by having a higher angle so i can get a longer viewing distance at night. Compared to my Savvy, the Savvy lights are actually higher and has further viewing distance. Yes, i can probab;ly ask the SC to adjust it for me but If got switch like this to adjust, it's very useful!!! (not to mentioned can lanci more to jeles Dugong/City driving colleagues...haha).

You may get from voxmotorsport i think or any standard car spare parts. The parts no is MR190955 or 82046 switch or maybe you all buy in group? Much more cheaper?
*
This seems like standard part, i think can buy from EON also. Anyone wants to go check it out? Maybe can buy same price or cheaper?

All, my chasis is 3036, only front & rear windscreen with mitsu logo (both side still with proton logo)... YES,,, mine is still STOCK HEADLAMPS. If you want to reconfirm yours, you may open up your driver side dash ( where you have 3 vacant switch area) and i'm sure, the harness connector for that levelling switch is sitting on one of your vacant switch, probably at middle. Let's try.... This is consider uncomplete installation by proton. I repeat, i just plug my new levelling switch, connect the harness and that all... Please try... It's worth.

my stock headlamp

How to take out that plastic thing covering the hole? I check this morning, bulat-bulat only....i sucked at DIY cars.

I have assumed that our headlamps dont have the motor, as only HID projectors headlamps (like the Evo X ones) have... as the motor is controlling the projector lens and moves it up and down along with the cut off shield...

Could bro Shahie show pics of his headlamps?? Better yet, take video of the Inspira headlamp moving up and down.... that will be soooooo coooool.... !!!

*
Yeah Shahie, can show video to usof headlamp moving up and down? notworthy.gif

Darn.. why proton did not just add in a switch, it will make lancer owners see red more...  hehehe... Dun think lancer has this switch either. In japanparts.com it shows for Evo X model. Ok ok.. will try find this switch.. So behind the 3 empty button panel got 1 or 3 connectors? How I know which to connect?

This reminds me of first batch of waja that did not come with dahsboard light dimmer switch... the wiring is there.. just buy switch then plug & play.

Eon did not sales that switch. Its design for GTS and evo 8 to evo x But our inspira wiring is purely similar to lancer 2009 onwards where most of some part is ready for plug n play including that light levelling feature.

It's good to have default light beam higher than normal coz from steps 1 to 4 on that levelling switch, you may lower it down. 4 will be your lowest beam. 0 is your default levelling beam.
*
btw, this switch for the normal headlamp or the highlight?? Dang...EON dun sell, cannot get locally anywhere?

My inspiring moment today...nearly kena tangkap for running red lights....these cops are hiding behind the flyover near the junction between Damansara Uptown/Damansara Jaya near the LDP. I was moving quiet slowly near the traffic light (Saya Pemandu Berhemah™ ), suddenly see yellow, then step on it!!! Managed to reach the other side when it turns red...turn right and voila...tons of cops crawling there..one fat cop was literally glued to the flyover wall to catch people....luckily i didn't get stopped...coz i think i made it over just in time for the lights to turn red....hahahaha.

The Power of the MIVEC.™. Run red lights with confidence.

QUOTE(zenix @ Jul 8 2011, 02:30 AM)
i dun intend to sell my civic for an inspira.
my gf been complaining her city too under power & high fuel consumption.
so thought maybe 2.0cvt or 1.8manual is the way to go since she likes manual.
i myself used a honda jazz before and know cvt gearboxes really are effective and fuel saving.
there are alot of family activities so more room is better.
thats really good mileage.
running on semi/fully syn oil?
*
er...dun expect Inspira to have very good FC or compare to Jazz...this is after all a 1.8/2.0 engine compare to Jazz 1.5.
When it comes to city drivimg, you can only get 9km/l or so. What's the FC of ur Civic in city drive? But why ur gf complain city high FC?? The only one good thing about City is good FC... You GF rev kaw-kaw is it? If rev kaw-kaw, Inspira will be even worst FC....but you won't have to worry about underpower coz Inspira loads of power. If you drive manual, even better.

I don't think CVT gearbox are fuel-saving...it depends more on the engine and car size and most importantly road conditions. It may helps a little bit, a few percent, but definitely not much. Even Proton dun dare to claim so much for the new Persona R (Campro + CVT)...only claims improvement of 4%....and this is probably under optimum condition.

IMO, CVT gearbox gives a smooth driving experience, that's all.

nope, no need..i also gatal gatal want to try syntium 3000 at my 20k service, hopefully it'll help with the cold starts.

Added on July 8, 2011, 6:54 am

city high FC? i dont think inspira can outdo a city in terms of FC, 2.0 vs 1.5.

proton gives syntium 800, mitsu gives syntium 1000, so most of us here either

1) change syntium 800 every 5k km,
2) buy syntium 1000/3000 every 10k km and the syntium 800 keep for other car
3) 'trade in' and top up the difference
*
Can 'trade in' with proton and top up difference? I thought Proton dun stock 3000 in SC?? hmm.gif

Anyway, for low mileage people like me, probably 800 will be fine...by 6 months time only hits 5k...so no problem. Have to change 6 months or 5k...whichever first!

SC is EON or Proton Edar? BTW, the service vouchers we have only appliesd to where we bought it from rite? If we buy from PE, must go back PE (for the Service Voucher to be use) and EON, then go back EON SC. Is it?
