I must say i am impressed with the stock gingerbread dxjpe . I rooted it with chainfire kernel
Using it 2 days already and am very happy. Its performance is miles ahead of the original stock froyo
So those who worry about root n flash n warranty do update it to the official gingerbread release.

I am using DIp7 rom and kernel, the rom is based on DXJPE and it is really smooth and quick..Overcome should move to DXJPE based..Asian Rom rocks..mebe samsung is biased and put out the good stuff for Asia only..badass...

agree, but if they are afraid .. The best and safe is that they can go to service center for updates.

Hi guys, I am planning to update my Froyo to Ginger. I believe I can do it at any of the Samsung Service Centres right?

Based on your experience, which Service Centre will you recommend? One more thing, will updating the OS cause all data in the tablet to erased?

Yes you can do it any service center. You can try the main one at Plaza Berjaya , Jalan Imbi( 1st floor )
Yes, upgrading firmware will remove all your apps/data/settings etc. So make a backup of your important stuffs

Thanks man. Btw other than better and smoother interface (issit?), is Ginger a more stable OS than Froyo? Basically Im curious if it is worth the upgrade.

YES is worth it ; it is very very much smoother and faster than original stock Froyo. I only use stock froyo half a day and upgrade to cook rom. Having test the stock Gingerbread, I can say most common users ( not geeks ) will be very happy with stock GB. Change the default Launcher - it will even be better

am not so sure nature of your problemo....with market enabler enable you to download any apps, which is not meant for such country like Malaysia. Much better if you have a rooted tabs...with proper setting.... you r good to go.... alternatively, you may visit blackdroid.net....they have aplenty of apps mostly rigged......

am on Jupiter ROM for 3 weeks...so smooth...

Thanks for your suggestion. I was trying to download Google+ and prevent Google Maps from updating by itself.

The 004005-Overcome_v3.0.1_JUPITER_Market_Patch.zip patch is to revert back to the older market.
