Hi guys,
If I try to output from android phone/ipod/ipad to actual speakers, the sound is very weak compared to PC sound output. Can this situation be fixed by getting a headphone amp or should I be looking for an actual hifi amp? My only requirement is amp output must be equivalent to a cheapo onboard Realtek HD spu.

Its a cheapo Sansui soundbar I got for 400 bucks. Not sure how to check its active or passive? The woofer is passive though.

Oh and there's side reason for me to consider a headphone amp, I just purchased a superlux HD669 from a forumer and the thing could use a boost.

hoping to find a better replacement for the amp part, kinda feels like a weak link in the setup dont ya think? Bravo is nice and all ok in sound term, but the soundstage and dynamics just aint there

Been wondering now if DACPort is fine for speaker usage or not..... of course not directly connects to speakers, but will go thru a preamp.
