Fishes in the pond:
Patins, Mekong/Plabuk, Tongsan, Rohu, Pacu. There's also keli and toman, but hardly seen it caught. Usually the patins n mekongs are active at night. Daytime most people aim the tongsan n rohu. The boss adds fishes to the ponds every week, usually in hundreds of kilos, so theres a constant fish supply in the pond. Below 4kg can take back. More than that u have to weigh them and they will pay u back rm1/kg. 4 heaviest catch from each category with exception of pacu, enters the weekly ranking. There is also a mega jackpot for whoever catches a 8kg and above pacu. Standing at 15k now.

Baits:
Most popular at the moment is using the buah perah bait. It's taking payponds by storm. Other baits include bread, pallets and dedak. Internal organs are not allowed. The pro's here don't usually share their secret bait. What might look like normal pellets or dedak may have 3 or more extra ingredients mixed inside. They may be cake flavouring essences, eggs, etc.

Rules:
RM31 for 3 hours. RM7 goes to the jackpot. So basically its rm8 per hour. Nevertheless, if u dun get a fish, u may continue fishing
Maximum of 2 single hooks allowed.
No floaters are allowed.
A weight (looped sinker) of at least 1/2 must be attached to line and it must be a dead (non-moving) one. (etc..attached to swivel or end of the line)
Fish caught must not be touched unless 4kg and below. Hook must be in the mouth when presenting for weighup/jackpot.

Technique:
Few techniques used in this pond:
1) Using a dropper knot loop forming 2 seperate lines of around 6-10 inches with a hook on each end. Target at bottom fishes. Used with either bread or pellets.
2) 'Batu gantung' style. Dropper knot but with the lines longer, some reaching 6 feet or more, depending on the depth u wana play. One end is the dead weight, one end is the hook. Target for surface and midwater. Most popular technique here with higher bite rate. Technique sensitive though. Damn hard to cast, but very effective method.
3) Using springs aka BSR style. But because no floats are allowed u gotta play bottom.
Because of the rule of attaching the dead weight to your line makes ur bait unable to float, the people here use binbin (keropok jagung) and thread their line with it to make the bait float a little.
