what is boat rental rate ? maybe rent a boat there to hunt the toman.

Any secret recipe for dedak over there ?

This Sunday (tomorrow) EAK, On ?

i have been to Bukit Cahaya before for cycling, i just parked at entrance parking and walk in. When u guys go fishing over there, how u guys travel from the Bukit Cahaya entrance to the fishing place (EAK) ? can drive in meh ?
*
boat rental i think it's around rm20. can try la...but the toman is known to tutup mulut most of the time. haha.

i can't make it tml. will be at jurassic in the morning. unless i gatal then go in the afternoon to EAK summore la haha brows.gif

can drive in. there is a guardhouse at the entrance...ask from the ranger the pass to the flyfishing center. somtimes quite strict...if he ask u where u going pancing...tell him empangan air kuning. the other empangan air batu is off limits. once u get the pass u can drive in. just follow the signboards to EAK. the road inside quite like a maze...drive slowly and carefully.

i never tried dedak there. so far i had success with worms, fish pellets, potato buns, & bread. i casting tangan kosong though. laugh.gif .

oh and the flyfishing event at EAK is coming soon. anyone going?

today at EAK is such a disappointment

bunch of moron messing with the fishing spot ........

Where were u bro? The opposite jetty?

I saw a very depressing sight. Some idiots caught a fish on the boat. Lifted the fish into the boat. Left it there. Then went back on land with the fish. Tried to unhook it or dunno do what but failed. Then threw the fish back into the water. Let it run loose then played with it again. =.=

Argh. Should have went on the boat to the lower dam n cast lo. Summore weather damn nice.

I'm not a regular at towfoo. usually ppl play bait there but I've heard ppl catching with lures too. Can take a small boathouse out in the middle to cast

Palm oil seed = biji kelapa sawit. Go any kelapa sawit estate can get ady. That one to aim pacu I guess.

im using this reel atm, 4000 series. nice handle, so far pretty durable. havnt tried sea with it yet. tongue.gif they give u two spools, the one in the pic is better and nicer finish, the spare one more plasticy. drag knob could be better, i find it abit too 'soft'. another thing is that the bail arm is huge and longer...at times kinda troublesome because for ppl with long or larger fingers...u will find it hitting ur finger once in awhile. laugh.gif

QUOTE(katsumoto2011 @ Aug 13 2012, 08:53 PM)
LOL i really facepalm when seeing those recipe , no wander now less people go to tow foo pond lah  doh.gif

because the fish really picky on the bait lah
i might heading to EAK this sunday if they still open that is, sunday is hari raya i think they be close right ???

1 more thing about the red talapia , in case you try bottom fising with them all you can get is lamban .
i when to EAK so many times only manage see 1 malay land talapia and he was using floating method to fish

you dump a bunch of bread let them float wait until the bread float to middle of lake, if the bread is at side of the lake talapia wont even touch them
when you see there action on the bread cast yours to the group, must let it float if sink you wont get a bite .
then pray you get a bite , i personally try this before it does work BUT in most case before the talapia bite your bite usually the hook already separate from the bread .... rclxub.gif

PS: this work too at the lower dam, but instead of talapia you get pacu  drool.gif  drool.gif

my friend n i caught tilapias before at EAK on bottom. we were using really small hooks, slightly larger than prawn fishing hooks and with a mixture of potato buns and small red pellets my friend bought from dunno where. what we did was we squeshed the pellet and small bits on bun together to form a larger pellet, large enough to cover the whole hook. (hence hook has to be small). worms work too...but make sure u dont have them hanging too much, if not the fish will nibble nibble it from the side.

was at ss2 tackle earlier... spotted the last abu premier there, old stock with old low price I think. aunty said 550, my guess you can tekan more if you're genuine buyer. hidding beside the PRM was a LTX.

william & ken, should consider it, or just go buy it over this weekend.

heading up north for pb galore for the weekend. pass digital tackle shop, first round about go straight, second round about turn left. ikut the jalan till you see a tnb power station. turn left, park at the 4 storey flats. fish by the bank.

can also hike in at the food stall opp the flats guard post to the cove. try to google up for the water sports village pick up point. be there as early just before sun rise, can pack up after 10am. the frenzy time is about 645-8am.

if road side bank no more bites or pb chasing, hike in to the cove where the new white houses are.

after fishing can stop by digital tackle, hope the older daugther is in the shop. a friend told me she quite cute, yet to met her lol
*
Hahaha i like the last part of the directions. Lol. Thanks btw, will give it a shot tml n see how it goes.
