for those who collected the pen rod from me. Here's some extra advise from the email:
" A preventative measure to keep the guides strong is if you open them up & run a small bead/line or dab of glue on the bottom/underside of each guide & the tip & let them dry over night while the rod is extended, it will assure a stronger seal & longer life of the guides. Do not be afraid to get glue INSIDE of the eyelets because you can always take a hot sewing needle & hold them with pliers & put it over an open flame till the pin or needle is red hot & pass it through the center of the guide the day after you glue the guides & it will make a clean hole through the center & strengthen your guides, especially the tip"

Added on July 9, 2012, 1:26 pmAm also quite surprised with the line capacity... with the amount of line I put in, feels like larger than a standard 500 size nearer to a 1000 size i think..

Just that no infinite anti-reverse... and feels very plasticky... have also tried in on other standard rods (except for my 5ft cherrywood as the reel seat design different) and still fits even with the smaller reel seat handle.

So planning to get a Tica Cetus and modify it to fit the rod... "when/if" the reel breaks smile.gif

Fookie,

Dont mistaken, Seahawk is by TCE Sports. I think they are different from TCE Tackles.

The one by the Federal Highway is Sea Tackle. They carry Ryobi. Different company all together.

Cheers!
