Please say a little prayer for my iron brother Darwin Cheung from the United States. He passed away yesterday in his sleep:-

I'm seriously grieving for him. Kinda in tears now. He was a real swell guy. It was a shock. Cause of death unknown. Awaiting autopsy results. His last facebook comment was just on Monday.

Take it easy man. Be strong for him and for yourself

No la bro. I do very light weights only. Empty barbells and empty leg press machine. A lot of guys here can smash out a better volume and more intense routine.

However, it was stupid doin front squats after delta ytd, my shoulders are b****ing like crazy

sandbaggin' brah?

sandbaggin? I wish man, I wish.

Anyway, today was the first time I front squat. Really does alleviate a lot of the lower back pressure I get from the back squats. Why are you having difficulty with front squats? Care to elaborate? I'm pretty sure guys that front squat a lot should be able to help you out. If I've not mistaken, Dan does front squats

I stop squatting and deadlift for temporary =="

My lower back n knee doesn't feel right... guess take a break from that for a while...

Tried rack DLs and rack squats man?

Rack DLs,put the safety bar at knee level. Do a regular DL but stop on top of the safety bar and pull from there. Rack squats, put the safety bar slightly above parallel or at a degree that you are comfortable with and squat from there. Box squats would be good too. Certainly helped me out a lot when my back wasn't so nice to me.

Noobz!
Military press is to the front:

BTN:

Main difference between these 2 is the use of different stabilizer muscles.

This is a very common misconception, doing BTN press will screw your rotator cuff.
Means do it with proper form, don't sewing your arm wildly.

my understanding of arnold press
palms facing in whn at the btm
whn going up plams slowly facing front

THANK GOD ! I THOUGHT WTF IS WRONG WITH MY PC. Basically, Arnold Press and DB shoulder press, the difference is that, shoulder press , u go only in one direction; UP. Arnold press, u change your position from a hammer grip to a shoulder press position when going up. But of course, CONTROLLED MOVEMENT.

anyways i dun do any press behind the neck
higher chance of screwing up my already screwed shoulders

my rotator cuff is an issue for me, but every now and again I do proceed with BTN exercises, however, ONLY to the base of my head, not any lower

I always go over hand grip. When I can't hold it anymore, I use straps. My right bicep tendon is much to work with, even when I do pulldowns, I don't go full rom just so I don't put too much pressure on them. Let alone dl with an over under hand grip. I don't wanna put my bicep tendon under unnecessary risk but that's just me. Find out what works for you

haha, sorry dont mean to troll. but really, my gym has people half squatting 60kgs.. and benching even less! good luck on your back man. squatting has improved my posture and back strength so it might do your back some good i suppose...
