EMG studies have shown little significant difference between the 2 exercises. Rotator cuff being intact > a tad more rear delt stimulation.

It's either you sacrifice ego for good form or don't lift at all. It took me years before I could do STRICT 245lbs for reps for shoulder presses on the Smith. It's a damn good muscle building tool. The free weight fanatics who diss it should be shot dead but if you use crappy form it will teach you a lesson.

Bro, shit happens only when we cause it to happen. Don't get offended, just sayin. Most of our injuries are self inflicted. Shit happens when we try lifting something beyond us. Let's see, I've had my share of injuries.
Both wrists fractured backwards at same time, left lat torn partially from its insertion point, left rotator cuff injury, 2 prolapsed discs from deadlifting 525lbs more times than I should have (if I stopped at 3 reps, it would have been ok)
Yeah, I know what I'm talking about.

You know glutamine has been proven to be useless if a person already has a high protein diet? =P Another downturn for the supp industry.
It's effective in seriously catabolic life threatening conditions such as burn victims.

Lol damn.... I'm the opposite. My waist went down from 34 to 28.5. But I'm still getting stronger. I just do cardio when I feel like it.

I am very encouraging and very nice. Just that i have a pissed off expression on my face because I prep before a lift. A hot naked girl walking right in front of me will not even distract me a little bit. I say this without a doubt. No time for checking out women in gym.

On a note, I think my lower back rehabilitation is getting better. I will try squatting again in 1-2 week's time. Just doing leg extensions and hamstrings are very pathetic. I really regret pushing myself to the limit on deadlifts last time. This is a case where lesson learnt is not beneficial. Prevention was better than cure.
