that's only a kilo dropped, but you are getting superbly ripped. maybe its the muscle mass. smile.gif

You know what? I think you're right. Because my strength is sure as hell still the same or going up in some lifts. I could be undergoing a body recomposition. I don't know... I mean maybe someone more experienced in cutting like Kmaru can tell me but he rarely shows up nowadays. I met him few weeks back at True Fitness. He looks pretty impressive even with a normal shirt.

You're looking very ripped too bro smile.gif Looks like your boring cardio is paying off quite well  tongue.gif

Yeah thanks. It feels good. You're almost benching 225lbs? Or you've already hit that weight. The poundages looked impressive. One tip though if you don't mind. When you do dumbell presses, don't spend too much time at the bottom prepping for the first rep, waste it, push it up the moment you fall back on the bench cos the first rep usually doesn't count. You need power to get it up. Taking time like that wastes a lot of strength and stamina. I used to do that too. But other than that your form is very very good. Cheers.

5'8" and 50 kg? thats ecto is it? u make me more impressed and jealous bro. i'm 5'8" too, but originally i'm 69 kg. those fats makes me feel awful last month. now its pretty much gone a little. need to lift more and start with supplements after this.
*
Yes I am pure ecto. I have extremely tiny wrists. And I fractured both of them during a rollerblading accident many years ago getting both of them snapped backwards and dislocated. I popped 2 discs in my back twice and had 2 surgeries. I was told by the doctor that my grip would never be the same so I use wrist straps for every back exercise, even warm ups. But despite that my max deadlift is around 500lbs or so but i don't go so heavy anymore, mostly staying in the range of 400lbs or so for moderate reps. Point is, you have good guidance now in this forum with quite a lot of experienced people/people who are gaining lots of experiences from their own research and discussions and sharing it here. I started from scratch.

Supps aren't magic. But they definitely help. The only time I use my protein blend powder is once a day. The rest is real food. Of course if you don't have time then mixing it with oats and packing it dry in a plastic zipper and drinking it as a meal replacement helps.

Gotta say one thing, gotta thank my ex, lol. I look and feel better about my physique than I ever would have been if I continued staying on with her.

I tricep dipped three 20kg plates, one 10lbs plate and one 5lbs plate together for 5 reps. I was hoping raynx, kapersky or jamis would be there to take a vid. Maybe next time.

Lol no need so crazy. When you going next bro?

QUOTE(hoxy @ Aug 11 2011, 06:37 AM)
That is some heavy weight! Respect! 83~85% of your BW? Damn, am I slacking on my training? I need to do dip 42kg just to be in the same weight ratio with you... I think it is doable, but still... darklight79 you are one strong big dude. I think you can do it heavier, lets show some real weighted dip now.

Looking forward to it. smile.gif

My pressing power is naturally strong compared to pulling power. Max bench for 5-6 is around 345lbs compared to bb rows which is only 280 plus for 6-7. Huge difference. And with my lower back injury I don't dare go too heavy with rows so most of my workouts consist of machines. Everyone's got advantages and disadvantages bro.

how about squat??

Before back injury 335 x8 x 4. There's an old vid of me squatting on my YouTube channel. Now it's mostly hacks and leg presses, extensions, etc.

cool... bt i dun go heavy anymore... feeling sharp pain at knee and lower back...

I've learnt that squats become counter productive later in bodybuilding life. Makes your ass and hips bigger. Bob Chic doesn't recommend them in advanced stages. Dorian Yates doesn't do bb squats and neither does Wong Hong if i ain't mistaken.

what kinda back injury? what happened?
*
Popped 2 discs 5 years ago deadlifting 505lbs. I did it twice, succeeded, my ego told me do it a third time and double pop! Then not too long ago, popped the same thing again, now recovering. Not fun. Now I deadlift light around 375-425 x 8-10 reps. I'm not going heavy anymore. Screw singles and triples.

smile.gif Very wise word. I meant to said it before, I'm impressed by the fact you are a doctor, having too little sleep, still working out, still having a great body everyone so admired (no homo)... and strong on top of that, seem still very much healthy. I cant do it if I am at your position, so keep on doing whatever you are doing. Respect!
*
Thanks but like I said, if i could do it, anybody else can. But then... I gotta thank my ex. LOL! Her breaking up with me gave me extra motivation!
But seriously I believe this phrase, you're born frail and weak, you die the same way, how you look like in between is entirely up to you.

Lol, btw, latest progress pics on abs up. But I seriously advice you guys, don't eat like me. I'm not mind f***ing people on purpose, I just keep getting cut without dieting. I posted the meals for fun.

Ok guys so I'm here at Section 17 Kanna Curry House. No one to take a vid of me eating so I'll just snap a few pics. Let's wait for next week. Sigh.... So far ordered 2 chicken breasts and 2 tenggiri and triple serving rice. Not really hungry today. I don't think I can add the prawns in.
