one thing bugs me is that the uk campus don't offer Mechatronics but nottingham malaysia offers it.  Wouldn't the quality of the course be of Malaysia standard then? lol And if so, will my degree be the one from nottingham uk or nottingham malaysia since the uk campus dont offer Mechatronic.

And, are first year students guaranteed on campus accomodation? i'd like to stay on campus if it's posssible.  if i apply accomodation ariund june will it be too late? having exams right now so kinda bz.

Your cert will not bear the location. Your transcript will mention the campus you graduated. There's no Malaysian or UK standard. There's only the University of Nottingham standard. IINM (and correct me if I'm wrong), the way the Mechatronics course is done is that half of the modules are from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, half is from EE. The courses are all offered in both UK and Malaysia. It's just that in UK, this combination is not offered, hence no mechatronics course there.

Accommodation you better apply ASAP. It's just filling in a form and submitting it. The earlier you send in your application, the higher your chances of getting the room you want.

To add on, one will not be able to go for exchange/transfer if he's from Mechatronics because the UK campus does not arrange timetable with you in mind. I can't be too sure, but I think there should be one or two exclusive modules (which is nonetheless heavily reviewed and monitored by the UK side) for Mechatronics.
And I think the split between Mechanical and EE is more to 30:70, EE got more.

ermm.. the cost of living in nottingham high?can i ask for details like cost of food per month,fees of transportation,books,personal expenses( estimate)?

im new student there, for some instance, i realise some of the book sold at the bookstore there is cheaper than popular, as for transportation, there is free shuttle bas thru and fro from kajang KTM, TTS and other places, but to be honest, the food inside campus is quite expensive, the average price for mixed rice i eat cost about RM8, which for the exact same mixed rice, i can get about RM5.50 in mahkota cheras, so i often gather a few friend to eat outside if theres a big gap between 2 class.

Are u living on campus ? Other than courses fee, how much is ur total expenses approximately?

i live off campus, my house is just nearby, living on campus should be more costly, the accomodation rate is higher than most of the rooms or houses in TTS, however, some of my friend decided to live on campus because the security is better, and the facilities there is easier to excess, also you can get closer to your mates, and knowing more people. My expenses beside course fees? I think should only be petrol to drive there, or eating there, not really much expenses since i live in my house

the courses fee are exp as compare to mmu

You are looking at a rental of about RM500 for on campus. About the same price for off-campus, if you will need to pay for rental+utilities. Add on you'll take 2 meals per day, with each costing about RM6 (given you eat more luxuriously), one month will cost you about RM250 if you stay for 20 days.
Don't worry about spending for entertainment, as you'll find none if you never leave Semenyih. Climbing Broga Hill is free, if you ever wonder.

If you are at the Templer end of Seremban and don't mind driving for 45 minutes daily, you may ask your parents to invest the rentals you'll be paying each month for a car instead. At the end of the day, you get a car still.

Wow..rental price is up? I checked Nottingham website and the cheapest is rm3xx include utilities.i just get my P plate 2weeks ago and I dun think my parents allow me to drive .. Btw I live in rahang

try to change ur password to have at least 3 of the following:
1)lower-case letter
2)upper case letter
3) symbols:!@#%$
4)numbers.

i changed mine and can work. after change try again the next day if cant work imediately

RM500 is provided you stay 1 person la. Just a rough estimate. The website is more accurate. I will advise against the 4-people-in-a-room unit though. Chances are you will meet people you don't like, or couldn't cope with - unless you are one yourself!
