QUOTE(tanjinjack @ Feb 24 2012, 03:25 PM) If memory serves me well, there has been a discussion on this on older version (probably V3). Maybe you want to do a search on that particular thread and see? If memory really servers me very well, the interview is mostly asking about why you choose this and probably some chemistry problems, rather generic stuff I believe. Which one you like more? The one you like less is harder. which maths is more tough ? mechanical or e&e? Added on February 24, 2012, 3:37 pmduno why so few people study computer science one? Hey guys, just sent my application form in Im doing computer science, anyone else doing that? Id like some feedback on the program.. Also how are the accommodation facilities? I havent got my accommodation form yet but will soon so id like to know from real students. Last but not least is it fairly easy to get to KL? Im guessing there must be not much to do at UNMC itself

If you don't find yourself liking Maths, engineering is a wrong option for you. Select again. The only way to get to KL with public transport is to take hourly bus from the campus to Kajang KTM (about 30 minutes), and from there on connect to other parts of KL. Nearest cinema is 30 minutes away - that is the Jusco Cheras Selatan. Which means the Mines is another 5-10 minutes extra.

Sucks about the accommodation :/ Anyone doing the same program im doing and have feedback on the facilities/professors? Also a sorta nonrelated question here but how the gym/pool facilities? I don't think Nottingham charges for application. Why don't you give it a shot? The undergraduate admission tutor is the one who decide that for you.

You guys, thoughts on going for exchange during the 3rd year? My 3rd year would involve projects like plant design, from what I've heard from my tutor, grades take a hit abroad, and to proceed with my MEng requires >55% average during your second year, else gg. I've seen forms for 2+2 transfers nevertheless but a 1 year exchange would be good enough for me, but I don't know how that will impact my final year project. My tutor snubbed me this week, just wanted to ask before this slips my mind. Some of my coursemates submitted their applications already. Hope any engineering seniors can help. Cheers.

One advantage of exchange on Year 3 is that you may be able to take up some electives that are otherwise unavailable in Malaysia. Also, you may be able to embark on a more exciting project as the facilities in the UK campus are much more complete and sophisticated. Lecturers there are also experts in UK - while I can't say if they really do have higher lecture qualities, but I believe what they research for the UK should be somehow in a more advanced level compared to what we do in Malaysia. Unless you are struggling for your desired class, else I think exchange gives you more advantages even though you may take a hit on your mark. Don't forget the overseas exposure and the then much more accessible Europe for you to tour around with! This post has been edited by tanjinjack: Mar 1 2012, 10:56 PM

For accommodation, which one is best, on campus or off- campus???? Prices dont matter for me as long as the rooms are well-furnished with A/C and attached bathroom!!! ( not too small, medium size) Any tips for getting the desired choice? Can I send them a cheque together with the accommodation form or should I wait their for reply??? (( I'm ready to pay to get what I want!!! ))
I'm was reading the older posts and there was something about reference. I already sent my original reference with my application form. I'm freaking out :/ Will I still need the reference for orientation days in case the lectures need it??

If you can, come with your parents so that they will take things more seriously.
