eh guys... what's the main language spoken between students in UNMC?
*
What language, in your opinion, will two Chinese who can converse their ideas better in Chinese use among them?
Similar goes for the Malays, and international students.
But when it comes to speaking with people whose first language aren't the same, it's English.

erm, EE and EC?
As I concern, Electrical and Electronic, Electrical and Communication + Electrical and computer Engineering are sharing exactly same modules for year 1 and 2... if i'm not mistake... For year 3 and year 4, the elective modules are same as well... So, I really dunno whats the difference.... =)

There is a subtle difference. Year 1 is exactly the same, year 2 a couple of modules are different - Electronic and Computer Engineering (ECpE) students don't do any power or energy related module after year 1. For year 3 and 4, certain computer related subjects eg. embedded computer hardware, Java etc. are compulsory for ECpE but not EEE. Although you can take those modules as electives if you're in EEE. EEE also has a few compulsory modules on power etc. that ECpE does not have.

In short, if you're really interested in computer engineering but have zero interest in power/electrical machines/renewable energy, ECpE might be more suitable.

Anyway, you can switch between the EE courses during the start of year 1 or 2, so just pick one and you can change your mind later.

Alright. My random thought of setting up UNMC email brought some results.

Using the default Android email app:

1) Enter info like normal, then when asked the type of account, select 'Exchange"

2)When it ask you to type in more details, use the following format:

username: nottingham\"your university username, without the inverted comma"
server: email.nottingham.edu.my

3) It will tell you that the server needs to request some security thingy from you. Click ok at this point.

3.5) I forgot at which stage it will ask you whether you want to sync contacts and calender or not. Keep an eye out for it. You might not want it to sync (or do).

4) After naming the account and giving it a color, something will appear:

user posted image

If you agree to granting the permission, click Activate, if not, your account will not be set up.

5) Give it a while for the mails to come in. Your actions (like delete mail) will be mirrored at the server side.

Been there until step 4. Never proceed through that though. Last thing I want about my phone is to wake up and see a wiped device.

Hahaha. I also backed out the first time when I saw it. Then 2nd time I thought "eh what the heck" and proceeded. Mails will be pushed to the phone so it's pretty awesome.

Nah, 10 OWA mails, 9 are spam. Don't need that kind of push. Now access it via browser instead. No point using the mail app, TBH, if we are not on Sense ROM and using the Mail widget.

Hey guys, I know everybody has been busy but don't let that reduce your commitment to this post. Let's make it active so that the prospective January intake student will knock on our door to ask questions. I expect our competitor will have a surge in post increase as their main intake hits. Let's keep up!

I don't know. Looking back my Year 3, and subsequently Year 2 and 1, I feel my dissatisfaction about the workload is a joke. Things are getting harder every year, and I doubt if there was a Year 5, I will be able to go through it.

PharmNotts night? Ask Pharm friends la..

^Don't scare me like that! I need motivation to push thru the next 2 years!

I literally have 5 assignments to juggle at the moment, all due within the next 2 weeks. Please tell me it's not worse in the future...

Well, we don't have so many assignments but each of them requires a great deal of efforts to complete. It takes roughly one week for each assignment and some do need more.

I think they could pick you up maybe outside from uni (TTS?), not sure if they can bypass the guard.

That claim need to be reassessed. I'm sitting in the TCR now and all I could hear is some foreign middle eastern language. It's could be so overwhelming you would even doubt if you're still in Malaysia. hmm.gif
