I dunno which one to believe. To consider this is an open forum, anybody can claim this and that,like this can, like that also can. But on the other side, anything can happens man. Each person got their own credit limit.

to be honest please don't believe anyone. Just take this as a pinch of salt and move on. Do your own judgement and do consider your own situation before putting your signatures in those paper.

Theoretically a lot of things are possible,but, even a small situation such as raining non stop for one whole week can upset the balance of what may be the truth all the while, to a big lie practically.

Stability of the world and local economy can change everything.

I think noone should be penalised for being forward with their thoughts, I agree that forums are places to get our thoughts out; all the good, the bad and the ugly out there (including possibilities). And then take our time to chew on it, by making reference to first hand evidence or hearsay. Finally each to decide on their own if the matter in discussion is suitable to factors surrounding them. Sometimes, there will be a moment that what we read here may come in handy in the most opportune moment. Needless to say, I enjoy reading every bit of what is written here....

The point is. Bank is desperate for money now. Take another example. my junior today cancel one credit card. Guess what after done. X.....bank offer personal loan 4.1% .

Maybe other banker reading this thread can confirm " bank is really desperate for $$" profit record breaking after another.

i feel you i feel you. haha but hey for salary earner like us that's part and parcel of our monthly contribution to those.... god knows who's pocket. can't really avoid the tax la. well about the credit card can't help. banks like OCBC if your home loan approve they even pre approve 39k personal loan and 63k home reno loan for me. i am shock when i see that but i've told them too late settled with UOB by then time the offer reaches me. They are indeed hungry but only to those who they can still korek money from. Those ppl with high Personal loan debt and Cc debt i don't think this would be offered. I am being offered yearly by Maybank... Speechless at times. My mum asked me want me to help you bank in or not?

Certainly its true about banks want our money.since my wife sign with ocbc for home loan, then suddenly i got few sms offering ocbc personal loan but suprisingly the loan is under her name...offering 7+% interest per annum.

Bank only gives you more money when you dont need it.
when you desperately need it, they dont lend you.

slowly the european country fails one after another, although our banks do not hv much direct exposure to the Western countries, but the indirect effect, economic slowdown ->affects businesses--> affects businesses' profitability maybe ability to service their borrowings and those cant make it will start to cut cost (retrenchment) --->people start to feel insecure abt their jobs ---> no one country is spared.

Oh talk about easy credit, today i was in this fair and there is a citibank booth. As norm i walk passed n said i got citi cc de to brush oh the guy. He said nonono we r giving gifts to existing customers! He gave me a tumbler n suddenly everything was so smooth..... I ended up signing up for a personal loan that comes with ATM! All i gotto to do is activate the card n i get extra cash for CNY! wtf.....

Btw my 1card cc limit is 15times my salary permth ....@@ every year they increase by alot @@
