I do not expect much to change even with the new guidelines. Whether net income or gross income does not matter, what matters are the DSR limits applied and banks have always been free to determine their own DSR.

Even with the "killer" 70% MOF ruling implemented, mortgage volumes are actually higher this year

70% + gross income is really a killer now biggrin.gif .... This has impact on those who wish to own first and second home.

Why dont have? Loan based on net income the loan amount would be less. E.g. A guy earn 20k after tax and epf the net income only 14k. Based on loan installment cannot exceed 1/3 of income, calculation based on 20k or calculation based on 14k is big different right? Correct me if i am wrong.

For ltv70 will impact third, fourth, fifth and so on .. Home buyer. With net income first, second home, third and so on ... buyer also impacted.
