Looking forward to the potrait lens, but why is it so damn long, like the kit lens @.@

Yup.. camera zen (dang I mention that word again ) is not about high ISO, frames per sec or what's on the spec list.

Ya lor... all the announced lens are no smaller than the kit zoom.

The 50mm has stabilization though.

I was also thinking about the same question. Especially when on Saturday I tested the Nikkor 50MM f1.8, thoroughly thinking if i wanted it or not. With the NEX-Nikon adapter +Nikkor 50mm (75mm equivalent), the length of that combination is if i remember correctly,was slightly longer than the kitlens.

Anyway, NEX 5 and A33 supposedly shares the same 14.2mpx sensor. But Flange on Wiki tells that e-mount flange distance is 18mm, a-mount is 44.50mm. I don't know how to do the optics calculations but I suspect that since they are using the same sized sensor, the optical distance to focus probably is the same? Which is why the lenses have to be longer to fill up/make up for the difference. Maybe someone here who knows Physics can draw some diagrams |X| to calculate??

Back to the Nikon adaptor, it's wishful thinking if it can be just 8mm thick, but then again i guess.... never.

Hi all, I'm going on a trip to India this November and I am really (really) thinking about buying the new C3.

1. Should I buy it now or wait later?The price might drop, oh, I don't know, maybe lah..
2. I saw in the Sony centre the price is RM2199, but in other shops, its cheaper by RM200++, how come hah?

dun later wen u wanna buy the time, got discount, but after purchase, new model out the next day

at least get urself familiarise with the cam before ur india trip
it would be much more easier

I just got mine yesterday.. still exploring.. although I have been using my cousin's NEX-3 for a few trips...

I just got the C3 last Thursday. Coming from a dSLR user though. Trying to live with its limitations.

whats the limitation you find after switching from dslr?

too bad for me, my big hand cant hold C3 safely.

This is one of the reason i bought Nex5 three months ago rather than waiting C3 to launch.

Where do you guys get c3 for the price of 2.2k with twin lens? Most seller I stumble across are selling around 2.4k for the twin lense
