QUOTE(benny888 @ Jun 26 2011, 06:41 PM) Yes, this will do. So do write down your phone original specs so that your official rom you find matches it Ive root it using cf-root v4, so the kernel chaged to kf2 instead of kf1. Forgot to jot it down before root. other than kernel nothings change. i suppose others sme set also got same settings righr? Anybody who still using stocks care to share for our own good?Record down your firmware specs, example mine original was : Baseband/PHONE : I9100XXKDH Kernel : 2.6.35.7-i9100xwkdd-cl161513root@dell103#2 Build : gingerbread.xwkdd PDA : I9100XWKDD CSC : I9100XEUKD1 |

QUOTE(Vcys86 @ Jun 26 2011, 06:17 PM) I did extract the zimage into sdcard folder as mentioned in step 3. Updated tutorial link in page onein step 4, he mentioned Find an original Samsung signed stock kernel (preferably from the same stock firmware you have, but it's not terribly important) that is why i flash using the tar (stock kernl) . So i should put the zimage file into sdcard folder, then open ODIN, on PDA, browse to sdcard and put zimage? btw, i found a newbie guide (long and details explanation guide at XDA). May be you can put it at 1st page? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1126522 YES ; you just copy the zimage file and select it as PDA . |

QUOTE(Blackberries @ Jun 26 2011, 06:25 PM) Hello ALL SGS-II people, just be careful of your first month bill as normally prorated..after the 7th of evry month, then u good to go..and most of the place now have wifi..now i'm using iValue 100 on my sgs2..just start activate the plan yesterday...so from today till 6th july, my data will be prorated..I'm still contemplating whether or not to get the IPHONE 4 OR SAMSUNG GALAXY SII. Many many reviews that ive read obivously states that SGSII beats IPhone4. I have no doubts bout that. Anyway, my question is, would the 3GB data from MAXIS be sufficient for 1 month usage for a person who does alot of facebooking, and whatsapping? Because if i exceed the 3GB USAGE, ILL BE CHARGED A BOMB FOR IT. ): I dont know bout the android market, but is it possible to download viber application? like that in the iphone? (: Kindly reply thanks! sgs2 is a great phone..like others say, i also hate to need to sync mp3 or files..that's why my iPod shuffle just put aside got lazy want to sync with iTunes..i better get the china iPod where it can act as mass storage..i love the 11GB space in sgs2..i fill up with all my office stuff and the display of office document and pdf are superb...far beyond my expectation... |

Something to share with u guys . A week plus ago , I went out 4 a drink with some friends and 1 of them just bought a SGSII , AP set , PDA Gadget . He complaint his screen looks funny and after keying in the *#0*# code , found that actually his unit is faulty with a yellowish colour at the side .... Naturally , I suggest him to ask the trader he bought the unit from since its 1 days old .... I didnt meet him till just now when he was cursing . It seems , after taking back his unit 2 the trader on the 2nd day , his trader told him his screen is faulty and cant be change since its been more than 24 hours . His trader asked him to pay RM400 , half of the so called " SAMOLED+ " price to have his screen replaced or asked him to topup RM700 for a new unit . He paid RM400 , pass the trader his unit and got another unit the next day which he found to be different unit from his 1st unit as he wrote down his imei number . Anyway , he wasn't bothered since he got a working condition unit ....
A note the new users since there is many here still waiting 4 their units , check out the warranty claim from your traders before making purchase . Scenario like his entitle him for a 1 to 1 exchange without paying anything yet because he is not aware of it , he need 2 pay the price for his naivest |
