Where did you download the samsung kernel. since you have jig just use it to remove yellow triangle.

from XDA forum. This should be the stock kernel GT-I9100_TGY_I9100ZSKF1_Kernel.tar

Yes, the jig did serve its purpose. Thanks again.

Btw, a new question, iinm, using titanium backup can freeze unwanted apps that running background right?
I did grant it superuser right, however i can't find any options of "freezer"

Any obsessive multi-taskers amogst you guys? If there are, I present to you SwipePad, which even in it's free version is proving to be quite useful indeed. It's a anywhere launchable application launcher, and also plays the role of inpromptu task switcher.

Can't wait to get my GC account unblocked so I can buy the additional modules.

http://swipepad.info

Well, it's free and I have no issues so far so try it out guys

they are so smart, making the main app free, but the other apps which make it work need to pay shakehead.gif

LOL, we have taskmanager ma, just put that somewhere in the free launcher - wallah, task management addon. The lack of recent apps is a shame though.

Did you flash it as a zimage file . You cannot flash it as a tar file for this purpose

No , it should be able to freeze ALL apps except core system apps. I have freeze most of the samsung default apps and widgets I don't use. I am using orinal purchased version. Other versions abound on the web I cannot vouch for it

Hi all,

I am trying to use Supercurio 3 to root.

Can anyone guide me the steps?

There's a link in the website to download the below file. What do we do next with the file?

"100_Kernel_Gingerbread-supercurio-3.tar"

Hi there, I just bought SGS2 2 days ago. Is it possible to download google maps malaysia (especially KL area) and use it without connecting to the 3G\broadband.

Thanks in advance!!!

I am following on this guide at XDA, however stuck at step no.6.
He stated flash the Samsung kernel, doesn't he mean flash the tar at PDA using ODIN?

For the titanium backup pro, my mistake again, it did manage to freeze most of the apps, even it is not running at background(such as games, etc)

You have to download Odin, connect your phone to the computer, and use Odin to flash the kernel. After that your phone is rooted smile.gif

(1) Make sure you have CF-Root flashed (see the first post). You must have the "CWM Manager" app available.

(2) Make sure you have the same version of CF-Root extracted until you have the zImage file. (ZIP --> extract --> TAR --> extract --> zImage).

(3) Push the zImage file to /sdcard . It must still be called zImage !
He has make it very clear you flash a zimage file not the tar file, you have to e/tract the tar file one level down to have the zimagefile

Hello ALL SGS-II people,

I'm still contemplating whether or not to get the IPHONE 4 OR SAMSUNG GALAXY SII.

Many many reviews that ive read obivously states that SGSII beats IPhone4. I have no doubts bout that.

Anyway, my question is, would the 3GB data from MAXIS be sufficient for 1 month usage for a person who does alot of facebooking, and whatsapping? Because if i exceed the 3GB USAGE, ILL BE CHARGED A BOMB FOR IT. ):

I dont know bout the android market, but is it possible to download viber application? like that in the iphone? (:

Kindly reply thanks!
