Only Titanium Backup Pro can freeze apps right? you bought it?  laugh.gif
*
Oh yes I bought it. Through paypal summore when Googs freezed my market account last week lol.

But really, for what it does it's a complete steal for the price.

@Jer: It's the same thing - almost. IINM, idle is when the proc stays at 200mhz while not doing anything. Sleep is when the proc sorts of hibernates to save even moar powa.

er after using CF-root, i notice CWM can be found in the phone applications there.. so does that mean we can use CWM here from now onwards and don't need to boot into ClockWorkMod recovery by volumn up + home + power button anymore?

so that means i can flash back to stock kernel (to remove triangle)?

You don't need to, but it's preferable to do system related stuff in the recovery menu. Because when you do it through the app, it restarts and does stuff from the recovery menu anyway lol.

Plus you get the option of wiping caches clean first if you need to.

tried so...went to maxis the mines on monday, they said no stock. they asked me to leave my name and contact number...doubt they will call me though
then called maxis and they said new stock coming on 28th, so on 28th - tuesday, went to maxis sunway and they said no stock
called maxis again and they said 29th will restock for klang valley, 30th for non klang valley. so went to maxis the gardens and midvalley, no stock also. called maxis and they said stock arrival on 29th cancelled, not sure of ETA of the next stock

huhu..almost same as me..but I did it in Maxis Pavillion-Maxis Mid Valley-and finally went to Maxis KLCC(TWICE!!!) with no stock..such a dissapointment..I did leave my name on the waiting list..hopefully this week or next could get a call from them..this waiting game is killing me...

sorry i think i still don't get it..

1) if i flash to stock kernel, it fixes the yellow triangle but i lost the CWM boot recovery menu.
2) if i flash to cf root kernel, i can have the CWM boot recovery menu back (but will have yellow triangle too).

is this correct ah?

if correct then i'll use option 2 lor... since the triangle doesn't bother me much anyway happy.gif

Yup I agree... thanks!!

Another topic.. I found this guide: Backup /efs folder. IMPORTANT.

CODE
Why the /efs folder?
The /efs folder is a folder in your phone that contains information specific to YOUR phone, for example your IMEI number, product number, Wireless MAC addresses, and much more. There have been reports of people messing up their /efs folder when unlocking their phone or flashing new ROMs.

It seems useful to me.. dunno about you guys.. maybe should put the link in first page? Anyway hope you guys find it useful...

Pardon me for asking, what is sleep mode and how does it work? Is it the same as idle mode when the screen goes off and the screen locks?
*
Deep Sleep runs automatically by the kernel and on battery only. If connected to charger, the kernel won't trigger deep sleep mode (the CPU will throttle down to 200MHz). When activated, the kernel will reduce the CPU frequency like notebook standby and will wake the phone when any services require an update in order to save battery.

Drawback, it introduce the wake up lag to the phone. If your phone instantly wakes up on battery, it means there is an active app running in the foreground (normally apps which requires constant network access) or a nasty app did not suspend or kill by the OS.
