Greenish tint? I wonder how it looks like. Must be obvious right? Coz if yellowish tint its hard to determine, unless if compare side by side with other phone. Sometime I wonder if my phone got yellowish tint or not.no device to compare, coz only me alone using SGS II among my peer. But I can say its not so white.hmm...

Yep, went back to the store, double checked without s.p and compare with demo set and others..then managed to get replacement..new sII,new s.p, new casemate. Even swap back cover once kantoi found gap..haaiih,really scared of d QC..luckily my wife checked all for me.. rclxms.gif

Ok, for those of you who have trouble installing the Google Maps (for Navigation), i had issues too, but managed to do it through the following:

1. First, make sure your phone is rooted, then download the Google Maps-ownhere.apk (NOT the re-sign one), and transfer to your external SD card.
2. Using Titanium backup on your phone, wipe data and then uninstall both Google Maps and Street View.
3. Then using root explorer on your phone (i used Super Manager, which also has root functions), transfer the Google Maps-ownhere.apk file to your phone's system/app folder (make sure its set to R/W).
4. Then just reset the phone, and voila! Navigation is available!

There is probably an easier/shorter way, but this works for me. Hope it helps smile.gif

Agreed, best QC is ourselves! As we had to pay with our hard earned money and expect the device to be whats worth of its price..

Rachy, i did not have to manually install the apk file; do you see the Maps, Navigation and Places icons in your apps drawer? It should be there after the reset, no need to manually click on the apk to install.

Hong Kong RRP for this phone is HKD5298, roughly RM2100++. Seems like Malaysia RRP price is quite reasonable.

I select the Windy weather as my life wallpaper.

It says "this wallpaper reflects the current weather via a windmill scene"

However I have been using it for a week but I never see it change to raining scene, it just turn day and night. What is the problem??

If anyone from Klang looking for SGSII, you can check with KTS Communication Sdn Bhd (Maxis MEP) at Jalan Kapar. They have a lot of stock as I was told yesterday morning when I get my set. It is a Maxis set so 1 year warranty only...

If your paranoid of virus apps, use Lookout security, it only scans when apps get installed and on a schedule (once a week).... It doesn't run on background scanning everything like a normal anti virus... Doesn't lag at all.
