anyway,

read something about the battery will take about 3 or 4 times charging before it starts to be at its optimum point, i guess it might be true as the first day i got it, charged for 8 hours, the battery drained hella fast with minimum usage.. but now, it can withstand my usages..calls, surfing, music, no games though, for like about 10 - 13 hours..my last charging time is at 3am, went to bed with it not charging, and still usable till now. ..well, with 25% left..

i used for 8 hours..boss call from korea, few time sms and 3G internet streaming..no problem..only drop till 65%..so battery is very subjective..if you are in aircond condition, ur battery drain faster..i remember when snowing, my camera battery drain like crazy..


btw, anyone know how to set ringtone to ascending ringing?..i think it's too loud for me..at least it ring soft first, before getting louder.not sure why ppl complain this phone not ringing too loud..now i even set it to half..

i all, i plan to root my gs2
juz a few noobie ques here:

1) my kernel version is xwkf1. after rooted can i flash to other stock kernel, as i was unable to find my kernel here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1074930

2) is flashing back the stock kernel after root will wipe all ur fon data?

1. There is another guide at XDA, it should have the KF1 stock kernel link. You may find the link a page 1 i think.
2. Won't

Rooting will not wipe all data ... but to be safe better flash wz any CF-root kernel then do a nandroid backup. BTW when flashing the CF-Root kernel it will root & install CWM on ur SGS2.

U can flash another stock kernel after the above step

Guys,

Some update on based on my observation. Initially, I installed Papago with the latest 110501C map and I have very slow to lock up. After Benny suggestion , I tried to turn on my mobile data and the lock up time is faster but when I drive, I encountered twice force to close. Then, reached home, I put back the old map which is 100806 and once I turn it on, I get lock up within 5 secs even WITHOUT turning on the mobile data...Will check out tomorrow and see how it perform when navigate in the car...

unless currently u dun hv a phone to use, ur desperation is quite irrational.
it's just a piece of electronic.
u are acting if it's a lifesaver.
this is result of materialism in the society i think.

flashed to XXKF2, modem/phone XXKF2 ... did the CF-Root and also the Batt Mod

edit: seems like better reception with the new modem/phone (in HTC lame term Radio)

i cant use for my razer keyboard,external harddisk for this,too high power..??lolx. but pendrive and mouse can be use.
how solve?= =/
