Finally I make a booking today for Light Graphite color. I request to take the car end of June.

No idea how true, but the SA told me PG going to discontinue and will replace by Light Graphite.

I got it from Sunway with RM2500 rebate + Full tank.

can i have your SA name, i went to sunway ask they only rebate me 1k.... if they can get me same offer as yours i will just book from him/her notworthy.gif

WVG, WVP, WVS, WVV, WVW, WWM, WWN, WWK all done in a week. Rest abt ~7-8 days. 2 full weeks quite rare for KL. Just do daily checking on JPJ website for safety.
If u go by working days, its about 7 days but by calender is slightly more than a week. The following are the start dates and working days duration for certain KL number plates:

WWJ - 10 Feb (8 days)
WWK - 22 Feb (5 days)
WWL - 29 Feb (10 days)
WWM - 14 March (6 days)
WWN - 22 March (6 days)
WWP - 30 March (9 days)
WWQ - 12 April (ongoing)

Im quite sure WWR may not be this week or else ill end up with WWS. cry.gif

my issue so far is fixed. mechanic mention it's issue with the back frame of the car. they remove, re-align, greased and tighten again. could be during assemble the car it's not done perfectly in Korea factory. i tested on uneven roads with lots of bumps, turns, down/up hill, slow turns and no sound. will drive few more days to test and ensure 100% permanent fix.

if u go to red cube pj look for mechanic name hafiz and he will know what to do. he have solved few K5 that having this same issue previously.

Bro, i can guarantee you 99% that your car has been used for tests. It may not be long distance tests but it surely has been used. If dealers/brances dare to use customer cars for tests due to insufficient test drive vehicles, do you think they will leave a 2011 model untouched?  hmm.gif

Btw, as far as i know only 2012 manufactured models have the rear blower. Did u see the actual AP certificate? Which branch is this anyway?

But i think the RM7K discount is still too low. Thats only 5%. The drop in resale value for the first year is approx 10-15% especially since this is Korean. So even though u get a discount now, but when u sell later on you will lose alot more. If it was me, i wont take anything below RM10K.
*
Mmm, I trust he is ethical like your Ipoh SA coz he not allow me and another person to test drive when I was there last week. Now I push him for another 1yr free service (parts + labour) and some service discount voucher.

And yes, I saw the rear blower is there. Other SA told me that 2011 stock come mixture model with and without bower. Anyway, I will double check the AP cert to confirm again.

well, I loan 9 yrs so gonna drive at least 5 yr and more..unless I kena 6 ekor lar..haha...

test drove the K5 on Saturday during the Kia roadshow in JB. The interior is really classy and feels premium. Engine is decently powered and using the paddle shifters were good, a tad bit laggy  but overall interchanging was near seamless .

Tested the PG version, no news on the LG as the SA told me he can't comment on unconfirmed news. During the ride he told me to thrash the car and and check out the overall handling and performance which I gladly did. It is not as noisy as some users here claim as I found it was more contributed from tyre and wind but still cabin isolation is better then a honda accord.

They had freebies but no discounts offered as this SA is directly under Kia and he told me that they knew of dealers giving unauthorized discounts and taking action. I don't know how true is this story but even the branch and service manager confirmed this, that the day before on of the dealers that had their license revoked came to test drive the car and vented out his anger by crashing the optima to the sorento on grounds of testing the air bag deployment. A police report was lodged.

I know the story above seems far fetch but just for the sake of sharing. Back to the test drive, took the car out for 45 minutes and diverted from the map and my SA was really good even thou at times lacking info that I needed. Due to the EBD and various electrical circuitry that runs through the car, he suggested not adding additional accessories such as front parking sensors as that will disturb or cause an influx of the wattage consumption segregated by the manufacturer for each component. Only accessory they are fine with is the change of logo for RM150

Will wait further for more color variants to come down the pipeline before finally purchasing but in conclusion, test driving the car solidified my choice towards the K5.

hi sifu-sifu skalian that oredi owned or study K5,

just want to check one issue here --> would the warranty affected if we were to change the stock wheel/rim to others which has exactly the same profile? Anyone seek confirmation with Naza on this matter?

If change profile pulak apamacam? I saw the photo of one of the K5 on the TT session oredi changed. Can the taiko owner there drop in some valuable input? Or Irangan and K5White mind to update?

tima kasih manyak manyak!

what is the manufacture date of the car... if is 2011 then the 7k discount i think is not worth because car age is count by manufacture year no by register year..
i think few page back got people mention can get 2k++ rebate .. so if u count back.. 7k - 2k = 5k , and i think 5k in loan amount does not more than RM100 per month.. why dont just get the new car?

this is a very grey area, very subjective...even if u ask SA, they can say yes for now...but later few years, anything can happen..
and im talking abt any brands as well
when anything happen especially parts that are directly affected by the rims, ie the suspension system, wheel bearing, there will try to void the warranty when u bring in ur car...

this is wat i tot, maybe other bros know more abt it?

How do you guys find the static bending lights? Is it any good? I know its a 2nd rate system compared to the active bending lights.

Also, how do you find the interior mood lights?

well, yup this is exactly what i thought.

being buntut gatai, i am considering to change rim but then such subjective arguments just block me from doing so.

I saw one of the taiko changed rim on the TT session photo, drool.gif that sparks up my thought to be buntut gatai again......which taiko again that changed rim?

I was thinking that static bending light is the one like BMW (active bending light i think) only until last weekend when i was in the showroom with "my precious".

But i guess better than dont have nothing.

mood light at the USB port is ok...the mood light at the door compartment is too dim already...some done mod on the LED strip where the took out the two 500ohm resistor and replace it with one 500ohm resister..if not, u cant notice there is mood light at the bottom of the side infinity speaker...if u put ur manual book at the compartment, then u can see red light beamed at the book...
