hahaha..i like this quote...hahaa..
we must understand, what we are paying actually suppose to get a underpower 2.0L car with fabric seat, nothing much else, but got comfort and brand name (T or H) and just maybe, good after sales service and re-sale value

got my audio system fixed lioaw..rupanya, the "load" button on the top got stucked at the panel...as thou being pressed continuously..
*
Hey, i had the same problem as well with the load button. Did they fix it for you? Which service center?
My service center said that they need to claim for a new set as they cant fix it... so they put claimed under warranty, new set should be coming soon

Hmmm. For me i like white the most. Silver is definate no no as it looks very uncle-ish. Its not sporty. Ill never buy any silver car. I have never drooled looking at silver car. As for K5 white looks great with the black contrasting parts.

But everyone has different taste. So buy it according to what u like smile.gif

Hey, where did you get your emblem from? it looks cool. Did they stick over it or did they remove the old KIA logo?
And any news regarding the complaint to NAZA regarding the incomplete rear light? Thats the only thing that sucks about it.. Otherwise it has been an AWESOME buy...hahaa
Btw, i called NAZA regarding the GPS and bodykit thingy. They said they dont have the option available yet as for now. Not sure when they will get it. It would be awesome to have the touch screen GPS thingy soon...

it is NOT the audio system fault...actually, the in-built player's "LOAD" button got pressed/stucked under the console panel...thats why the system abit confused and hang
took it to Kia Glenmarie, they took out the console panel, sandpaper off little more clearance for the LOAD button, and fix it back..and okie lioaw in 1 hr or so...bluetooth no problemo at all after that..pair easily with my android gbread S2...
*
Cool. i think i will go there as well. The NAZA ipoh service center wanted to replace the whole system as they were unsure on how to open the console..damn.. Btw. did you ll notice that the electric seat was a little noisy when you are moving it forward?

Seems that this burnt smell on the Optima is a common problem in foreign countries. Many have complained that this smell is apparent even after 5000km. Some say its minor while others say its quite disturbing. But nobody seems to have any answer or solution to the problem.  shocking.gif
*
Never had that issue yet.. No burnt smell noticed.
My only problem is the sound of dry rubber from my rear right absorbers whenever i drive on uneven surfaces. It sounds like it lacks grease or something.. Anyone with similar problems or know how to solve it?

Yeah, I wish to install this into my K5, planning to get it but who can install for us??! or DIY ? group buy ? hahaha... biggrin.gif
If not mistaken, is about USD60-80.

Read from China's Kia forums, can be DIY or install by accessories shop but I wonder our local accessories shop capable or not. Do you know any accessories shop has done K5 mod?
*
Yup man..should get it. Juz need someone capable to fix it here..

Guys, This lights cost about USD120 in Ebay, please check this site,
http://partswini.com/Exterior-LED%20Module...102230000000567

I'm waiting their reply about the shipment costing if I just want to order 1 piece of this. Please share if someone know an accessories shop can install this to us.
Sorry to say that, the emblem is not ugly, the problem is your mindset. We are car lovers but not brand slave. If proton can produce a quality car, i don't mind to give them a chance!

I am in bro.. Get a better deal with bulk order? Juz need someone capable to fix it
Will the warranty get void if we install this?

any navigation package offers by kia?
is it worth it or just buy a normal GPS will do?
*

[/quote]

So far nothing available by NAZA yet.
I guess KIA has not produced one for the right handed drive yet...
Rather wait for the built in version though..

There is no wind noise until about 160km/h..
At that speed there would be minimal sound..
I have touched 190km/h and only experienced minimal wind if i concentrated hard enough...haha
So no issue on that so far.
But the tire sure is noisy, don't mind changing to Michelin if get a good trade in value for the nexens..

Are u plain stupid or you have a problem understanding english or are u too lazy to read previous posts?

Only a stupid person like you will come here and say Passat 1.8 gives good driving feel like you made some big discovery. We all know that u dumb fool. VW has got among the best engines and gearboxes around and WE ALL KNOW THAT!

Passat 1.8TSI has 250Nm torque which makes it more powerful than Optima for sure. Plus it comes with a world renowed 7 speed DSG gearbox while the Optima only has a 6 speed auto. WE ALL KNOW THAT!

Passat surely has better driving dynamics because its VW and WE ALL KNOW THAT!

But then Passat 1.8TSI (CKD) also costs RM27,000 more and has got less specs than the Optima. Plus it looks really dull and boring and its seat comfort is no where close to Optima's standard. WE ALL KNOW THAT!

The Teana comes with a XCVT transmission and it delivers more low range power than the Optima. The acceleration is also smoother. WE ALL KNOW THAT! But sorry, i dont wish to drive around in an uncle's car with half the specs available compared to the Optima.

Only a fool like you will evaluate cars based on 1 or 2 factors. I suppose it didnt strike you that there is no such thing as a PERFECT car. The owners here chose the Optima not because it is perfect but because it was GENERALLY the best and it gave them the most value for money for the RM143K that they are spending.

So now tell me something we DONT know. And while ure at it do tell us what's your CURRENT car.
*
Well said bro! That jerk does not know what he is talking about...
Now lets forget about him and let concentrate ob this beauty smile.gif

Already reached 3000km today, no issue...
I juz love driving it; especially on the highways! Awesome feeling
Fuel consumption getting about 650-700km per full tank (highway: town =30:70)
Now juz waiting for a few mods to spice things up wink.gif)

Full tank how much?? can pump RON95?
*
Its 70 liters..
Initially i only used RON97 (roughly bout rm 170-180)
Then lately tried RON95 (rm120-130)
Not too sure, but it feels like the RON 97 last a lil longer then the RON 95 (bout 50km more)
but not too sure if its worth the steeper price..

At 110km/h you ll be at bout 2000rpm
Using bout 6-7liters/100km as indicated on the instant fuel economy screen,
which is amazing.
I usually maintain it at bout 3000rpm on highways (bout 155km/h), at bout 9 liters/100km..

Best ever tank mileage roughly 700-750km/ 70 liters petrol (full tank)
