WHAT?!! Hahaa! Elop, you really know how to use part of N9 into Nokia's first WP7 phone. And do you really have to use N9's fame to gain the popularity of your 1st WP7 device? laugh.gif

N9 CANNOT be running WP7.
WP7 don't support TI SOC as used in N9.You have to use Qualcom SOC.
Externally it may look like N9 but internally it must be quite difference.

Yeah. Also as I said before Elop already said that Nokia is not going to change the UI.So what you see in the leaked video is what you get as end product.
Pretty much same as other manufacturers. So what would compel people to buy Nokia's WP7 device?
Maps? Nokia's Maps is good but it's not a major reason to buy Nokia phones.

When did you change your definition of hardware eh? laugh.gif
Hardware can't be the same cause WP7 has a very stringent hardware requirement. And this is real hardware I'm saying not hardware seen by god.

This is another weakness of WP7.Limited SOC support.
Unlike WP7,MeeGo team already done with TI & Qualcomm hardware adaptation.

mapping navigation?camera?but the wp7 cam is su*ky.im not convinced enough to buy that if nokia didnt do much mod on their wp7.although wp7 is the best os ever(exclude meego coz its not in the market yet),yet i hate the UI.the metro UI is simply ugly.the most ugly UI among all smartphone.

Anyway, I think rather than saying only Qualcomm met the stringent specification, it is still using the base ARMv7. I really want to see how DIFFERENT it could be. There are modification that you can do to the product like pipeline length etc but the core of ARMv7 should remain the same.

TELL ME WHAT SO f***ING DIFFERENT THEN!!! SOMEONE IN MS HAS A BIG CHUNK OF SHARES IN QUALCOMM.
