Hello, we would like to introduce myself to the poodle family.

We got ourselves a male tiny toy a day ago. He's close to 3 months now and he's still not used to the surrounding, keeps giving the whimpering sound everytime he's inside the cage.

Bought a few items such as toys, comb, this supplement called Dermatrix multivites (bought in Ikano Pet Safari). Not sure what else to buy though, can recommend me base on your experiences what are the good brands and the simple Do's and Don'ts.

Since he is just close to 3 months and another 2 weeks before going for the 3rd vaccination, do you all advice to bring to the vet for check up? I'm just afraid that no problem bring to vet will make it worse since only sick dogs goto vet, might transfer their viruses over.

And when will be the right time to start training them on toilet train and those training schools?

Thanks so much. Will upload some pics later. Name haven't decided yet sad.gif

hi welcome to poodle family, lately all the senior member seldom around in the thread, and the thread looking kind of lifeless.. hahaha.. when free upload some picture. Would love to see the picture thumbup.gif

the items that you bought should be sufficient, unless you want to buy wee wee pad tray / wee wee pad , to toilet train your new fella. 1st potty train is most important, and just be patient through the learning process too. ^^

regarding good kibbles brands we give our furkid either Fish4dogs , or Canine Caviar , both brands so far got good recommendation in here, from poo smell, the appearance and pee too.

get the 3rd jab done 1st, before heading to any grooming shop, and this to prevent or minimize the contamination of parvo virus or other bacteria too. bring to vet wont be a problem as long the vet is hygienic and is well recommend too.

toilet training can start as soon they are in the house, and patient is the key. some took up too 6 month to get it right, but this 6 month you invest patiently can bring the joy for many many years.

well my experience maybe not tht much, or lesser compare to senior here. but is well not to keep in cool hehehe whistling.gif

i just get my self another member in the family, minature schnauzer, she doing great now hahaha so adorable when thy puppy. Snap more picture when they in their puppy time. time flies very fast icon_rolleyes.gif icon_rolleyes.gif

can my baby eat meat directly now?he is used to eating kibbles for 3 months plus

hi, if you are referring to poodle or any breed of dogs, we dont suggest to give raw at their puppy time. is best to introduce raw feeding when they reaching 1 years old. or almost 1 years old. 3 month plus is best till keep feeding with kibbles. my toy poodle max till now 8 months d still having kibbles. hope this answer ur question ^^ if the kibbles too hard for them to eat, pour some milk or water to soften it abit, but dont over flow it ya ^^ thumbup.gif

I notice he doesn't poo in the cage. Only when bring him out of the cage he poo but whenever he's inside the cage he won't. So in total, he poo only twice a day. I hope it will not damage his internal organs because of this.

Hey I want to ask, I mean to keep Dorian's nails shorter possible.

Since the nerves are already longer than before, I can't cut the nails shorter than that, so is there any other way to keep the nails shorter possible?

Will snap more pics once I'm free but currently having a headache because he is very naughty.

Everytime enter his room just to take a peek at him, when leave the room he will bark and bark and bark wanting attention. I'm just afraid one day my neighbour cannot tahan.

Hey Chris, I wanna ask you something.

Currently I fed A&J with F4D (morning) and chicken meat at night. Then I realize that Jasmine is consider senior now since she's 6yo and autumn turn 3 soon. I know there are kibbles that is good for senior as in low in protein, etc.

I've been thinking to switch them back to fully raw but I need some back up in case I need to board them thus I fed them both raw and kibbles. But my concern is that, is F4D consider to have 'high' protein for senior dog? I'm thinking to find good kibbles for senior dog (except Go!) for Jasmine and is it okay if autumn share the food as well? since I can't possible have 2 differents kibbles stock at home ><

Too many brands are coming out now and its really headache to choose a kibbles that is good for them. and some doesn't have small bites either -.-"

haaa...i got no experience in this wo. Not many brands have kibbles specially for senior dogs. Have u checked how much protein a senior dog needs? If it doesnt vary too much from adult food, then can we just stick back to adult food and maybe reduce its portion? What abt kibbles for weight management ah? hmm...i really hv no idea on this. But i think if u want both gals to share the same food, u cant buy a specific-condition one i think...coz that might affect Autumn's growth?

Hi everyone,

been feeding qiqi with canine caviar lamb for almost 2 months now. so far, i noticed that the poo is very easy to pick up. it makes me wonder if her water intake is too little, causing the poo to look as if they r too dry. oh yes, she poo at least 4 times a day..all small small piece 1 -__-"
