i think i am lucky~ 2 days make huge difference for the whole process time frame.
i order at 6th of june and today i got call from the courier service provider to comfirm my address,
according to them i may receive my item tomorrow ,
but base on the order status from hp site, i should get headset, bag, microsoft office by today, tomorrow for the laptop and wednesday for the printer.
i hope they will send all item to me together instead send saparately, potong steam man~~

1) can i have the online exclusive package in the mobility square outlet?
2) according to the online package, total memory will be 8gb (2x4gb)?
3) how is the service of the HP carepack/warranty.
4) does the laptop come with a CD of Windows® 7 Home Premium 64 for reboot?

1. No, only for online purchase.
2. Yes, another 4GB is free.
3. It's an offsite warranty where you need to send the laptop to the service center on your own instead of they send the technician to your house like what Dell did.
4. No, you have to create it by yourself once you got your laptop by using the dedicated software.

Hey guys, I think the CoolSense permanent fixed setting has been solved with the new version of HP Support Assistant and BIOS, I just updated both, and I tried the CoolSense, and after shut down and boot up my laptop, the setting that I fixed remains there without going back to the Optimized Mode.

o.O... you answerd some of my questions as well... have been pondering whether my dv6-6114tx would come in 4GB or 8GB for awhile now... Because it mentioned that it comes preinstalled... haha.... so meaning total when you get your laptop, it would be 8GB?

Try to run your Hp Support Assistance, it should prompted you a new version of HP Support Assistance is ready to be downloaded and installed, after installed then run again the HP Support Assistance, there should be 3 updates available, if I'm not mistaken one if DVD Burner LightScribe software, another one is HP Bios Update, while the last one is something about On Screen Utility.

Added on June 20, 2011, 10:00 pmOK guys, I hereby confirmed that the CoolSense permanent fixed mode issue has been solved with the latest BIOS / HP Support Assistance where we do not need to select and apply the mode every time we boot up the laptop. It is a real good update for me, as I find the CoolSense is really good in cooling down the temperature from the Coolest Mode, so with this update, it eliminates me to open the CoolSense application and select and apply the mode every time I boot up my laptop.

Mine is all updated but the problem still persists.....to those that got it to work, is your UAC turned off? mine works when it is on but stops being permanent when it is off...

Im going to get this package n wondering have to buy the carepack or not,
if without the carepack, the laptop will have no warranty? as u all experience, is it worth to get the carepack?

The default package currently offered does not have the carepack. By default, its warranty is 1 year. You need to send it to HP service center yourself.
If you scared of spoiling your laptop or dont want to go through all the hassle to send it yourself, you can get the carepack with onsite support.
But in my opinion, just use your laptop with care, treat it well and take good care of it and the default 1 year warranty would suffice. Unless it is hardware failure (hdd failure etc.) that cannot be controlled...
