Hey guys, I'm thinking of buying the HP dv6 with the Beats solo. However according to the reviews and youtube videos, it seems that the Beats Solo headphones are very fragile and break easily, has anyone had this problem yet?

You may search on youtube for videos of the headphones breaking ._."

So, my next question is, is this version the normal Beats Solo, or the Beats Solo HD?
*
oh really? i never know that the headphones break easily...
any dv6 owner here with beats solo notice this fragility?

Wanna ask you all something technical....
As you know laptop vent as times goes will accumulate dust inside and eventually will clog the air passage way....

What you all do to minimize the dust as not to void the warranty opening it and clean?

Wont you agree that the best time you wanna start doing is when u buy your new laptop?
Why wanna wait when u can do something about it now? Well if there is actually something that can be done...tongue.gif that is why i am asking

just to service center to clean it up.
alternative let it overheat within 1 year, then claim a new mobo ? shocking.gif  shocking.gif
Service center? you mean HP service center?
Is this kind of service under warranty?

The alternative don look very practical to me.....

oh thanks for the reply regarding the battery question. I have real life experience to share.

Previously I had a laptop before this DV6 that I plug out the battery all the time because I wanna increase the battery life span.

Well one day I had a power surge in my house. As a result my motherboard was burned because of the surge. I took the computer for repair and was told that if I had plug in the battery, I would have saved the motherboard.

Fortunately it was still under warranty, and I was grateful that I just have to pay for the transportation fee and not the motherboard.

Have another question here, I try to use the MiniTool Partition Wizard to do partition, I wanna create another 2 partition. However I have to change the C partition to logical first because I start creating the 2 partition. My question is how do I change the C drive back to primary again?

anybody here tried using HDMI cable to connect your DV6 to LCD TV?
May I consult how you do it? Just plugged in the cable and press F4?

Did any of you see this webpage at hp site?
I did not know that we actually can buy a dv6-6114tx and 6108tx without the beats and other free stuff like what is promoted at the Music Matters LIVE promotion?

Had I known there is this thing, I think I would have taken this instead....

A reminder to all future DV6 buyer

6001tx dvdrom oso difficult to eject tongue.gif

I found a solution for myself..

Instead of pressing the button on the side of your laptop, i go to my computer and double click the rom drive and the thing will pop out automatically....

Hope this helps
